Reviewed By AHR RWe traveled for a long weekend from Brazil, and stayed in the Yurt. It was lovely, cozy, and immaculate. The people that work there are incredibly kind and generous and we did not want for anything. It was a perfect distance to downtown Puerto Varas, and an easy trip to explore the volcanoes and the water falls. We had our own private hot tub, and access to our own barbecue. It was tranquil and wonderful, I would go back again! It was a slice of heaven.

Our cabins are located in Chonchi, the center of the Isla Grande de Chiloe. They are fully furnished, wi-fi, 2 bathrooms, wood stove, parking and all with a beautiful ocean view.Nuestras cabanas se encuentran ubicadas en Chonchi, el centro de la Isla Grande de Chiloe.Estan totalmente equipadas,wi-fi, 2 banos,estufa a lena,estacionamiento y todas con una hermosa vista al mar.

Owner Fresia - who speaks good English - was very helpful in recommending restaurants and day trips, like our trip to see the penguins and dolphins with Quilun Ecotourisml in Queilen! Optional breakfast (small fee) was delicious, filling, and delivered right to our cabin door. Free wifi, very clean, tranquil, and great beds. Best of all, the warmth and kindness of owners Fresia and Nelson. Our favorite place in Chile. Highly recommended!

Nogalia has been designed taking care of every detail to achieve an intimate contact with nature, in fact it is located on a field of century-old walnuts, and during its construction it was guarded to keep intact this natural patrimony. In addition, because it is located 12 km from San José de Maipo, in the village of San Alfonso, it has that renewing and healthy air of the mountain range, especially when waking up, where every morning you can see in detail the range of colors In the sky and the landscape. The tourist center Nogalia consists of 7 cabins full equipped, each one has inside a walnut and allow a wide view of the landscape, Since each one has large windows and large terraces to relax and rest. It also consists of swimming pool, fire pit, outdoor hot tub, playground and green areas.

Reviewed By birgitta mLoved the large airy cabins in this tranquil setting of wallnut trees. Our cabin easily accommodated our family of 5 as it had 1 dbl, 1 twin and a tiny single bedroom, a bathroom, an open kitchen/living area as well as a large deck with parilla (BBQ). Although we did not use it, there was a fire pit area in the garden too. We all loved the fact it was built around an 120 year old wallnut tree. No insects at night so could leave all windows open. It has a small pool area, a trampoline (dug in the ground), a cubby house so kids were happy. Down the street (2 min walk down the hill), there is a very simple but good restaurant with authentic dishes, also a few small kiosks with fresh bread and fruits, etc. 4 min walk is a great horse riding hacienda which gives amazing 3 hour horserides to a waterfall (so bring your bathers). Not for the faint hearted though! Owner and manager very friendly.

Palafito Verde invites you to live the experience of living in a traditional palafitte in the neighborhood "Barrio Palafitos de Pedro Montt" in Castro city, Chiloe Island. The neighborhood is nice and calm and also has a variety of tourist services. Palafito Verde offers six furnished apartments, five of them with capacity for four persons and one of them with capacity for six persons. One of our apartments possesses Universal Access. They include parking, Wi-Fi internet access, kitchen, refrigerator, microwave oven, heating, cable TV, 1 double bed and a trundle bed (2 single beds), private bathroom and a terrace or balcony over the sea. They all have a spectacular sight to the sea. It does not include breakfast but the kitchen is ready for cooking and there are a nice Cafe Palafitte very near with breakfast service.

Reviewed By Angela MI was charged almost double the published rate for a 5 night stay and was refused a refund when I requested it. Upon check in, I paid a flat amount and was not given an itemized bill or receipt. When I researched the published rate, I discovered the discrepancy in what I paid. The owner said the additional charge was for breakfast and cleaning, which was not included in the standard rate. I explained I was not given the option to decline those services. Also, I was charged the 19% tax that does not apply to me, as I am traveling on a tourist visa. The owner refused to refund this tax or make any other compensation for the amount she overcharged me. In fact, she was very rude and defensive. On top of this, we were given the worst room on the property, with only a very narrow terrace that did not even have room for a chair. Also note, the noise of barking dogs is constant, day and night.

Lovely setting in a lush garden
Reviewed By AralyaIt was quite a long drive that day, coming from Argentina. On arrival I was welcomed by a member of staff who showed me the studio #1, on the side on the reception. But it was small, dark and with no view or outdoor space. She must have noticed my reaction because when the owner came to greet me, I was straightaway offered the cabana #7, on the top of the hill (quite a hike especially with luggages and groceries) but with an amazing view of the lake, a lovely terrace and close to the pool which was a refreshing (literally) plus after our drive on dusty roads... This cabaña was really gorgeous with a sofa curled on the side of big windows, a small wooden stove (probably very useful in the winter), a big double bedroom and a smaller one with bunks, a fully equipped kitchen with oven, a small bathroom. Of course it’s a bit old fashioned but it was very cosy and you could really spend a few days here. On the other side, it is far from the centre of town. It’s really a place to relax and self cater. Not if you want to experiment the hustle and bustle of Pucón.

Reviewed By FlyingTheCoopWe enjoyed a night in Cabanas Parque Salto Del Laja on the way to Pucon. Our cabin was large, spacious and clean. The kitchen facilities were good and we were serviced by two bathrooms and a powder room; and the WIFI was excellent! Although we visited in winter - meaning that we were able to see the nearby falls in their full glory - I should imagine that this a popular place for families in the warmer months with many family-friendly facilities on site.

Reviewed By Katinka vGreat choice if you don’t need hotel facilities, but do want apartment facilities! The apartment was bright and clean. Wifi worked very well all three days. Comfy bed. Spacious enough. Towels were provided. Nice view with sunset over the city. Bit warm as it has afternoon sun, but a sort of AC / fan was provided and it cools off a lot during the night. Checking-in was very smooth: you arrive at the building, enter, and go to the left, to the elevators of tower C. Go to the 15th floor, the office is in apartment 26. We were greeted friendly and an English skype connection was immediately set up so that we could ask anything we want and get info on the building etc in English. At the office self they spoke Spanish and Russian. The reception downstairs is 24/7 and taxis are waiting in front of the building 24/7 as well. Large supermarket just 20 meters away on the other side of the street is a plus as well.

Great spot for birdwatchers /nature lovers in Ancud area
Reviewed By S6722SJevalWe stayed in the small cabin for 2 people, which is located just outside Ancud, and is highly recommended for anyone that would like a quiet, beautiful setting surrounded by birds and with excellent views of the estuary. It was an unusually hot day when we arrived and the only negative was that the cabin was very hot inside during the heat of the day with small windows, but it cooled down in the evening (few mosquitos about so bring insect repellant). The facilities are very basic but we were comfortable and enjoyed sitting on the deck in the early morning and evening, with visits by hummingbirds.
