Great expirience in a great beach town
Reviewed By Angel DIs a great experience to spend a weekend on one of the nicest beach spots on Venezuela, Choroni. The lodge or "posada" as are called in Venezuela, have comfortable facilities, and the food offered is great with a taste of the local cuisine. The accommodation fee is a little expensive in my opinion, but also the service is good so it compensates somehow

Reviewed By mariotorrealbaWent there for a half-term break. As we went last to Choroni in 3017 and had a horrible experience, our expectations were quite low. Found this gorgeous little hotel. Breakfast was included for two people $50 for both. It has lovely green areas, a large swimming pool, lounge chairs. The room was okay. But barely warm water and no tv, which is a bit strange. It has no restaurant, but as we had a previous horrendous experience in the past, we decided to take precautions this time and bring loads of things with us. So we didn't struggle at all. People are really friendly, the workers there are SO nice, polite and helpful. We ended up having a lovely time and it is very convenient as it is so close to the centre, although secluded at the same time. Would I ho again? Would i recommend it? As long as you get prepared beforehand and take your own things, absolutely yes. Loved it.

The rooms are very comfortable equipped with air conditioning the swimming pool area is relaxing perfect after a day on the beach. Can’t wait to come back !!! Very special nature lodge in Venezuela
Reviewed By VamosViajamosCasa Maria might have the nickname Bug Paradise, but this relates to the fantastic butterflies and insects that gather in the garden and the reforested acres above the inn. (Look out for sloths!)You are greeted by Gaby and shown to your room decorated with traditional crafts, and it is Gaby who overseas the wonderful Germanic meals. Norbert is unique in his knowledge of environmental issues and the many local birds and enjoys sharing this at mealtimes and on walks on his land or in the local cloudforest. Casa Maria offers a weekend package and is also glad to design a trip to suit longer visits, starting with airport pick-up. It would be an excellent center for groups of biology or environmental students. The posada is also a wonderful place to relax at the pool or in the garden, free of Internet distractions. Highly recommended.

The concept is very good but the staff are not prepared and trained for costumer service. The manager only gives lies and poor excuses for the service. Food is good but don't expect to eat a lot because they don't have a menu for have a snack between meals. If ever you missed something don't expect to receive a good service because they will ignore you. they charge prices in US dollars in Venezuela and is not worth it

Fantastic service
Reviewed By Ben RCasa Mori is a beautiful posada, enveloped in a lush green tropical garden with great decor, a nice swimming pool and open-sky showers in the rooms, which we really loved. But the best part is the service - an absolute essential when travelling in depression-ravaged Venezuela when anything could go wrong. We had a minor issue with a boat driver hired to take us to a secluded beach, and when the Casa Mori staff heard about it they swooped into action and came up with a creative solution that left both us and the boat driver happy. And that was just one of the many things they did above and beyond the call - the sign of a professionally run posada.

It is a beautiful and spacious property, that rents double, triple, quadruple and apartments, Come enjoy an island of tranquility, run by its owners Mr. Ulf and Mrs. Marianella who are waiting to give you the most cordial care and personalized service. We speak Spanish, English and German.

They are more than happy to help you, whatever the matter could be, e.g boat trips, recommendations of restaurants and airport transfer. The rooms are very clean and cosy. There is a small pool, WIFI, clean kitchen- and barbeque area. The posada is located in the entrence of Puerto Colombia, so you can have a good night sleep, without interuptions from partying people. We can highly recommend this posada to anyone who travels to Puerto Colombia/ Choroni.

A disappointment
Reviewed By TekiGasperiUnfortunately this hostel was a disappointment from the minute we arrived, beginning with apathetic, poorly dressed employees with a horrible attitude, they didn't even help us with our bags. We made the reservation through an organization we have been using for 6-7 years, a hit every time with excellent installations, food, service and logistics, no matter how remote. This place had none of that, and turns out to be a scam when you see the pics on the website. We decided to go with our instincts, lose our money and go else where, that's how bad it was.

This is a win win experience
Reviewed By Carlos PIf you visit Puerto Cabello this is the place where you need to stay. As you might know that Venezuela has some issues with the electricity, this place has its own power generator so you always would have electricity and A/C of course. For the breakfast you need to ask for the Desayuno Criollo, its the best breakfast ever also for the dinner or lunch you need to order pasta de Camarones (shrimp pasta) probably is not in the menu. But you can ask the chef victor and he would be pleased to help you. All the employees are very helpful and kind, from the person in front desk Damian (that he also is the waiter) to one of the owners called Dulce. If she is around you will notice that she always wants her guest to be pleased and happy.... I loved the place and definitely would be there again
