It was comforting having the restaurant in the hotel after a long and tiring day of walks and tours. Food was delicious and service friendly. Having the sunset view was a plus.

The restaurant's Michelin star is still from the last year when Vincenzo Guarino was a chef there. Before the 2019 season, the chef changed and we were one of the first ones to taste Stylianos Sakalis's tasting menu.The setting of the restaurant is nice. It was still too cold to sit outside, but the dining room was very festive and romantic.The dinner was OK and for a Michelin restaurant, "OK" simply isn't enough. There were many small things that were not quite OK. Home-made mayonnaise was featured in three of initial dishes, serving and de-serving was done without any left/right rule, etc. One mistake however was cardinal - the warm appetizer was a pasta with smoked butter, sage, lemon, and cheese. The pasta to the whole group was served practically cold (and that was not the intention). The waiters noted that something is not OK since they had to return the plates half-full. They have discretely asked about the reason, got the explanation, agreed with it, but did nothing (except a small discount at the end) to remedy the situation.We didn't taste a lot of imagination in the dinner (the dessert felt like "just give them chocolate and everything will be OK") and with one of four dishes (excluding amuse bouche) being returned, Il Pievano simply didn't justify neither the Michelin star not the 135 EUR/person price tag.Dear Mr. Matevsz,Thank you for choosing our Michelin Starred Restaurant Il Pievano and for your feedback. We regret to know that you were not satisfied with our performance.You were part of a group of 14 guests and for this reason we offered a testing menu.Unfortunately due to a problem with the kitchen door, that we repaired in a very short time, one of the courses was below the required temperature. Acknowledged that, we offered a generous discount and an even more sincere apology. Great food in a warm family restaurant setting. The restaurant is newly under the management of the owners of La Piccarda in Ponte Bozzone is a terrific addition to the area. The pizza is great, the pasta wonderful, and the desserts home-made and especially, the apple strudel/apple pie, are spectacular. I skip the cream and have it with vanilla gelato. This new restaurant has an excellent coffee bar. I suggest, weather permitting, you sit on the outside deck on side: very pleasant.

We were staying in Castel Monastero and came down here one night for dinner. It is super casual and nothing fancy which was what we wanted. Great extensive menu, pizzas, pasta, meat dishes, wine... service wasnât speedy but we werenât in a rush. Lots of locals eat here which tells you all you need to know. Great for a casual meal and v good value for money.

Excellent, amazing food freshly prepared by Antonio the chef. Great choice in the menu from delicious meats, fish and traditional pasta dishes. Fantastic wine choices and huge variety of aperitifs, and digestives. The same vain as the exceptional venue and service at Castel Monastero, Gordon Ramsey hits it out of the football stadium (you are in Italy remember)!Understated sophisticated elegance, superior service, and a dining selection that was superb! Oh, one thing- don't bother to ask what is good on the menu or on the wine list, response in broken English will be. "Per fevore, senori, but ah, it's all excellente"! As and it is!Frankly, while you could go off property to dine elsewhere in Tuscany, don't bother, you might be disappointed.

Four of us enjoyed one of the most wonderful evenings of our visit to Tuscany. Mossimo is a fabulous chef, and our waiter was so personable and helpful. We shared several plates and each one was unique, beautifully presented and stunningly delicious. The only disappointment to us was that the restaurant was not packed with diners. They are missing an amazing evening. The chef came out to greet us, and he was just delightful. We split one plate from each course per couple and it was plenty of food. The wine from their estate was excellent - a 2012 chianti. This is truly an undiscovered gem near San Gusme, Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the heart of Tuscany.

Driving through Chianti, we found this adorable village at the back of which, with an incredible view of the surrounding valley and rolling hills, we discovered the villa di sotto restaurant. We had casarecce with a red meat sauce with fresh rosemary, the ravioli with spinach and truffles and the wild boar ragu. Presentation and food was very nice.Service was impeccable. Our waiter gualtiero spoke Italian, English and German and was incredibly friendly and helpful. We visited AnoniMa X twice on our recent holiday. Max is an extremely welcoming and informative host and guides you through the menu. The staff are very attentive and service is excellent. The food is delicious. The restaurant has the rare ability of providing an environment that suits both families and couples. Our son left his mobile âphone on our first visit and we got it back after good communication. We couldnât recommend it highly enough and if we visit the area again weâll certainly be paying them a visit. Thanks Max and the team
