Recently, my boyfriend and our mutual friend escaped the heat of the beaches in Puerto Rico to the mountains of Puerto Rico. Utuado is breathtaking and the town is very charming. We were recommended to have dinner at the Aquarium and were not disappointed . One of the owners, Eddie, is helping carry on his fathers legacy in this 40 year old establishment. If you are not from the island, his menu consist of local fare. The Mofongo, asopao, and steak were delicious. The house made Sangria hit the spot and the dessert of flan was very tasty. Don't miss the stepping back in history or being served by the very friendly staff.

We were surprised & delighted by this special place on the lake. The service was warm & friendly. Ambiance is relaxed & welcoming. Tonight we ordered the Mahi Mahi and steak dinner. Both dishes were fresh & delicious. The Mahi Mahi was perfectly prepared ---steamed & lightly spiced with herbs and peppers--- and the thinly cut steak was beautifully cooked. Highly recommend! We are looking forward to another visit! Thank you.

Con Lena is a new restaurant in the Utuado Dos Bocas area. The waitress said they had just been open for a month. First of all the restaurants in the Dos Boca lake area are accessible by boat and the road but most people choose the boat rides to these restaurants because it's a more scenic way of getting there. When you get there by boat they leave you off on what I call the stairway to the mountain. There is no pier, the boat leaves you off on these stairs coming out of the water in the lake. If you are not able to climb stairs up to a 4th floor apartment do not go. These stair are steep and if you have any physical limitations with your legs it would be very difficult for you. That being say the restaurant has a very nice view of the lake. I went there with a party of 8 people. We were quickly seated and ordered drinks. The drink came right away but when we ordered the food that took forever. I guess cooking with wood takes a lot longer. When the food got to the table it was good. I ordered the Dorado fish with tostones and my wife ordered the carne mecada both plates were very good. But someone in our party ordered the carne frita and that was not the best cut of meat. All in all the food was good! When it came time to ask for the check they took forever again. We had to actually get up because we thought they forgot about us. I chock it up to being a new restaurant and they are still trying to get their act together. There are better restaurant on the lake but if this place gets their customer service together they will be able to compete.

Clean, friendly and patient with our lack of Spanish vocab. Food was awesome! I had chicken with salad and rice. Prices can't be beat for that quality and quantity! Will definitely return if in the area.

Happily, they have a great restaurant right there! Wonderful salmon and salad dinner and appetizers of tostones and calabazza soup. Great chocolate cake for dessert. Thanks Josh for the great service! Breakfast omelet was quite tasty and a great start to our day. Again, Josh is great.

I love going to eat here. They have amazing food. I've been now at least 15 times. It would be more visits if they were open all week. The food is great the service is great and they have a great laid back straight forward food with great ingredients and no gimmicks.

Hijos Del Josco is the best restaurant in all Utuado. Their Tacolaos are unique. La Loma and La Montaña are excellent for 2 and more people. They have an excellent variety of drinks. Also, it is the cleanest restaurant in the region.

Las Tortugas is THE PLACE TO EAT IN PUERTO RICO...its octopus beats every single restaurant weâve tried on the Island (and I mean from coastal eateries to fine dining in SJ) with its absolutely perfect consistency and taste, and just THE RIGHT AMOUNT of ingredients to make it the best you will ever try. Their TRIFONGO is OTW, and their sampler, El Caparazón, is DELICIOUS (just be aware that itâs for four people and six people can eat from it, depending on appetite).To complete the experience, the scenery and backdrop is beautiful. Oh, and for you Piña Colada lovers, there is no better place to buy one.

Our group of 12 enjoyed an amazing lunch at La Familia. We loved the delicious mofongo y carne frita, stuffed mofongos and the churrascos. Service with a smile all the time and excellent prices! Highly recommended!
