Small restaurant on main road to Gallipoli right after the windy mountainous road from Istanbul. It is on your right just when the turkish coasts meets the Mediterranean. A family of 4 runs the restaurant which is located right on a small dock overlooking a river that empties into the MediterraneanWe had fresh sardines, caught a few hours earlier. Those were charcoal grilled, Mediterranean style with salt and olive oil, fresh tomato salad with cucumber and onions. Finally the owner was so happy that he also served us fresh raw scallops with olive oil.Cherries and tea to finish. If you want to taste fresh, uncomplicated cooking, this is it. And to top it all of, the owners will not charge you tourist prices. We felt we were treated equally which is refreshing compared to Istanbul where tourists have a "special menu"Sit outside if you can, under one of the fruit trees and feel the breeze whilst the family is cleaning out the fresh fish

Unassuming restaurant, staff a bit hesitant but willing to speak in broken English. The food is excellent. Octopus salad, branzino, good wine and warm, friendly service. The view is pretty, boats coming and going, clear waters crowded with fish that jump if you throw them a piece of bread. A really special place.

Fiyatlarda gayet makul seviyede.Tavsiye ederim.

We saw this place last night having had a relatively expensive meal which was not the best on the harbour. We went and we were amazed at the verity of food available and the quality. The place is spotlessly clean. My wife and I had aubergine stuffed with meat which was to die for. We had bread along with a lovely salad, spicy chilli with a garlic kebab and a spicy kebab both with trimmings, rice, salad etc. The food was wonderful we had two soft drinks, complementary deserts and Turkish tea. 110TL. What more could you ask for. Our waiter was superb and even helped us with a photographer needed for our residency Permit.

Ilhan Restaurant

Ate here on the night of August 7th. Arrived around 7 PM. If you want a table right next to the water then you need to reserve ahead. My table was one row over but it did not seem any worse to me view-wise.Food is outstanding. Fresh meses and fish. At the start of the meal the service was attentive and friendly. As the crowd of diners grew the staff was more than a little busy. Trying to get ice for my Raki became a running joke as I would flag a waiter, ask for ice, he would nod at me and then I'd never see him again. I asked a Turk to ask my waiter for ice thinking that maybe my lousy Turkish was getting in the way but; No. Same result.By the end of the evening when the crowd had left the service returned to its original level of competence. With drinks, aps, drinks and mains you're going to drop about 120 TL per person. The appetizer portions are HUGE so you may want to minimize your selection there. Seafood portions are also more than enough for two people. In the end it turned out to be a great restaurant in need of more staff.
