Maybe the most typical restaurant in Campobasso. If you like to eat the typical recipes you have to go to aciniello. Family restaurant in the city centre, warm and nice, friendly personnel and very good food. I tried everything and it was all very good. Strongly recommended

My husband and I were on a group biking tour of Molise in the middle of October and had a Tuesday evening on our own in Campobasso. Many restaurants seemed to be closed, but we were fortunate to stumble on Miseria e Nobilta. We explained to the hostess that we wanted just a first course, and she welcomed us warmly. Once seated, we were given two glasses of Prosecco, and after ordering our pastas and a bottle of wine, she brought us a delicious appetizer, "so that the wine won't go to your head." My husband had agnolotti with zucchini blossoms, and I had tagliatelle with broccolini. Both were among the best pastas we had during our two-week stay in Italy. Both the hostess and our server were delightful and kind, even graciously encouraging our imperfect Italian. We could not have had a better experience, and it left us with a warm feeling toward Campobasso.

Many people all around Campobasso are disappointed about "Trattoria da Nonno Cecchino".
So, I went to check and verify it.
The Staff is rude, not polite, not smiling or helpful.
I am NOT the person saying: Smile to my face because I pay your salary! - but, try to be polite with people.
Food, NO WAY! the owner, a big and ride person is not a good person; and the food: they sell you a product as local, and then this product is coming from other places.
Hygene: Zero!

This place is really friendly and typically Italian regional cuisine with a local atmosphere. They don't have a menu being a family type restaurant and for that reason be sure you are aware of prices BEFORE you order the different plates. They do NOT accept credit cards so have cash on hand.

Hey Guys,
the name : Palazzo, identify a big family in Campobasso.
This family produce Pizza, bread, some dessert, biscuits, and so on.
The family is pretty huge, and there are several bakery around Campobasso.
This bakery is in the old town; located just 5 meters from "San Leonardo church (chiesa) (the church in front of you, turn right).
Pizza with tomato or with mozzarella are astonishing.
Remember to drink a cold beer and relax, take it easy and listen Campobasso old town.
My suggestion: buy a slice of pizza, buy a beer and sit down in front of the Church or on the stairs beside the church.
