Reviewed By petcua2018Unfortunately the quality doesn’t explain why the prices are so high and this includes everything. The bathroom shower has mold in it. The beed are super hard and if you are “lucky” to sleep near a family with young kids good luck in sleeping. You can hear everything. The restaurant is bad. The food is horrible. Plus, they don’t make it fresh. All three of your dishes come out of the microwave! And yes, you can tell the difference ! My plate was so hot that the waitress couldn’t touch it. That’s a pity because the prices don’t match the quality. Also, the food tasted bad. The breakfast is another disappointment. The buffet is sad looking and not a lot to choose from. Also the cold cuts are broth to you at the table. And for some reason(if it is to cut costs, is not really smart) they bring one slice from each of the cold cuts they have. The portions are not enough for one person, keep in mind that from that plate someone might only want one type ok cheese or just salmon or just one type of salami. Just let people choose and you will also save some money. The corona enforcement: almost none. Here is mostly the guests fault because they don’t care but in the other hand the team of the hotel, they don’t enforce anything either. The staff: is a so and so mix. Moat of they are heating their jobs and you can see that in their attitude but is a common thing in customer service. Some are nice to you and some are acting like you were the reason they failed in life. The facilities: the sauna and the pool(smaller than in the pictures) were nice. They are closing at 10:30pm but they might start wrapping things up at 8:30pm and feel like you should leave by steering at you constantly.

A quiet getaway
Reviewed By Sarit TThis is a good, clean, well-maintained, traditional hotel. That means it doesn’t have a designer style, but the rooms are large, comfortable and cozy. The service is excellent and friendly, even after the millions of questions we had. We asked for a kettle and cups, and they were waiting for us in the room. There is a huge free parking. The included breakfast was one of the best we had on this trip- a great variety of standard ingredients, as well as local traditional dishes, and you can even squeeze your own fresh orange juice. We enjoyed a few hours walk in the forest just outside the hotel, which seems to be the last remaining natural forest in the area (the rest were planted for wood). Only for that, it was worth going out of the beaten trek. We didn’t see any deer or foxes, as other reviewers did, but the birdwatching was great. It is possible to rent a kayak here, but make sure you make a reservation. After we returned from our walk, there was nobody at the shop.

The Kräutermühlenhof is located right next to Burg's beautiful gardens in the heart of the Spreewald. Our bed & breakfast has 15 double rooms situated in a quiet and green location. All rooms are set up in a country house style and equipped with a toilet, shower, TV & WLAN. Cars and bikes can be parked nearby. Our staff speaks English, German and Polish. Our neighbouring restaurant Zur Kräutermühle has a cosy beer garden and offers country house style cuisine throughout the whole day. While breakfast will already be included in your room fare, you can also add dinner to your room booking. We look forward to hosting you!

Reviewed By Netti78Had dinner here and while the menu looked inviting, the food didn't deliver and prices were rather high. There was a hair in one of our main dishes and while they offered to re-make the dish, we were now not able to eat our meal together. No other compensation was offered. The service felt rushed as they seemed more concerned with the approaching rain and breaking down the patio rather than customer service.

I nice Hotel in a nice landscape
Reviewed By FistballI stayed here with some friends on a cycling tour through the Spreewald. The rooms are very nice and clean. The hotel hase a nice beergarden. The food was excellent especally the breakfast buffet was very large with local specialities like cucumber. For dinner we also had a large buffet.

Wonderful and spacious room on the first floor - the "Spreewaldzimmer", situated to the rear; rustic bathroom with spacious shower. Nicely restored house maintaining the old beams and lovingly decorated including old furniture. Shared kitchen with a fridge and the possibility for making tea. Very nice and unique breakfast room; tasty breakfast with a variety of food and eggs freshly prepared to your choice. Very good coffee. Outdoor seating in front of the house. Unfortunately situated at the through road and only payment in cash. Else it would be a five star rating.

Very comfortable room, but...
Reviewed By DrDave_at_CHSGreat room, large bathroom. Hostess does not speak English, but very welcoming. Difficult to find without GPS. This is a farm property, in a wetland area. Many flies and other bugs, with no window screens. Especially bothersome at breakfast. Weak Wifi signal.

All was excellent, except the owner's behaviour. Arrogant and unprofessional man.

I was about to make a great review until the last morning when the owner behaved very unacceptable during our breakfast. Was arrogant and refused to appologise, making me and my colleague stop enjoying our food, stand up and leave immediately. Very disappointing.
