Reviewed By Jedwards422This place was awful! I booked a room here for 7 nights and was placed in an old worn out room with most awful decor that you’ve ever seen. After complaining to the front desk, I was able to upgrade to a remodeled room for an extra $30 usd per night. The food was lousy none of the taxi drivers even knew how to get to this dump, it was like Bucerias was in another planet than The surrounding cities. The housekeeper “cleaned” our room 2 out of the 7 nights we were there and would never leave face towels even after tracking her down for doing her job. I would have to go to the front desk for towels ( which they don’t have) and tell them that our room needs towels, she would then show up 1-2 later with large towels that we already had. The bartenders and the waitresses are very nice, but kind of on the slow side. I just don’t recommend this place to anyone, unless you’re from there. I have never had a bad time in Mexico, but my experience with this place makes me not want to come back again.

View was amazing and found the employees wonderfully helpful. Security even washed our car for us. We enjoyed watching oyster divers and whales from our rooms porch. Easy 3-4 minute walk down beach to restaurant with beach service. I recommend Casa Maria on many expat sites, cause dog friendly. I like the fact it is a little hidden. It makes you feel safe. 3min walk either direction down beach to easy swimming areas. It is not new sheak Nuevo PV. It is comfortable Mexican with a pool and view for a great rate. We will be back...

Reviewed By hehrenAll the staff were very nice and accommodating. They had a safe at the checkin counter you could use for your computer, jewelry, cash, passport. They were happy to have you use it whenever you wanted. The room had a great view. The balcony overlooked the beach. It was as if you were beachfront, though we were one street back. It was very convenient to restaurants and a laudomat. There was also a nice bar with live music, Jax bar, around the corner. We went there most nights. The hotel was remarkably quiet, in spite of being around the corner from the bar. You could hear the waves crashing at night, which was nice. There was breakfast included, though it got repetitive. Eggs over easy, toast, a little fruit, and frijoles, and chilaquiles. The chilaquiles were always soggy, not crisp. Didn’t care for the frijoles. Consider getting a room without the breakfast plan if you want more breakfast variety. 6th floor had rooftop hot tub and a small pool. The hot tub was nice except on weekends when very young mexican children would take it over(although there is a posted notice that young children should not use the hot tub as their pool. The pool was too small and too cold for me to enjoy in early May. The daily maid service did a good job. There was a small fridge, microwave and a stove top, but we didn't cook. We did reheat some leftover restaurant meals in the microwave. The only downside was the beds were hard. I would give it 5 stars, if not for the uncomfortable beds. We had a room with 2 queen beds, though I would not classify them as queens. They were much smaller. We did see a room with a king size bed which looked like it had a mattress topper. That might be a better choice.

But the cute thing is they have such a community presence. Snow birds come down every year, all Canadians from different provinces and meet here. I felt like a family member and super safe as I travel solo. Security: they do have 24 hr security and they were great. As for rooms...super clean. Very impressed. But the whole housekeeping guest vs long term is a bit confusing (and I sleep late) but they always had security so he would open the linen room if you needed a roll of toilet paper. ? My internet was in and out and cable was temperamental at times but sufficient. Location: perfect!!!!!! If you can't pay the 200 bucks a night ocean front but can still hear it loud and clear....it's 5 mins from everything. Which brings me to Cost: I found it very expensive for what you get; but hearing the reviews I'm thinking I may have paid too much. $120 USD / night? When all I hear is budget hotel?? Overall. I enjoyed my stay, rooftop views laying in a hammock watching the sunset over the ocean. Pros: the seasonal guests. Love them to pieces. Security was amazing! Cons: soundproofing, doors to units are not secure. It's like opening your locked bedroom door. You can see through the frame and it doesn't close properly unless you slam it! Won't allow service animals/pets. (I normally travel with a small service dog for epilepsy, but he was ill. Guess this means I won't be back.

Wonderful pool. The staff were amazing, she even got invited to grandpa's birthday party. There is a very good coffee bar at the front. I can recommend this place for a wonderful stay. Our first unit was a sizeable 2 bedroom but was quite "dated t overland while it overlooked the pool we were right above the airconditioner fans quite for the complex making sitting out side noisy. Due to a burst pipe in the bathroom and were fortunately moved to a almost brand new unit in the tower next door. We had a quite sizeable seperate bedroom with 2 Queen sized beds and bathroom and the main room had a pullout couch, kitchen and another bathroom. The kitchen was quite large with a table that seated 4, a 4 burner stove, full sized fridge and microwave. The unit was clean and we had a great water view. I highly recommend staying at Los Picos, especially in the new tower! Our thanks to "Ray" for assisting us in our relocation to a room in the new tower.

It feels like going to your home away from home every time we step through the gate , very secure .

Reviewed By Lynn SWe only stayed 2 weeks after 6 weeks in a condo next to the highway. It was wonderfully quiet, clean and welcoming. We definitely recommend this basic lodging for its location on the beach, helpful staff.and cleanliness Be sure to try Maestranza across from the hotel for dinner!

Reviewed By fredyairThe hotel suites where a perfect starting point to explore the area, but still a welcomed retreat to go back every day to enjoy the pool by the ocean and relax in the company of good friends, the suites are big and clean, ours was a two bedroom apartment with a well equipped kitchen, three complete bathrooms, huge balcony, A/C in every room, four floor with commanding views of the whole Bay. The only missing feature is a bar/restaurant in the premises, although there are plenty of options at walking distance.
