Stare Mesto, the Old Town of Slovakia's capital, whisks visitors back a few centuries as they wander cobblestone streets, admire the Baroque architecture, enjoy summer and Christmas concerts at Old Town Hall and while away time at cafes and restaurants. Venture beyond for more sites, including the 15th-century hrad (castle) with its treasury and history and music museums, the Slovak National Theater and the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Slovak National Gallery, housed in an 18th-century palace.

This is a hotel restaurant. Nicely decorated small restaurant, quite simple and with taste. The staff is super fiendly and atentive. The beef sup is amazingly great tasted with beef meat and carots. The mushroom soup is ok, not so great but ok.
Also something to try is their mushroom risotto. Its creamy and rich. Great taste and plenty of mushrooms in it.
They were super helpfull with recomending wines based on our taste description. We felt welcome there and enjoyed our dinner.

We had a wonderful lunch here on our way back down from Bratislava Castle. It was our anniversary so we wanted something quite special and we definitely got that here (without the staff even knowing it was our anniversary).
The restaurant is very intimate and cosy. Even at lunchtime, all the tables were lit by candlelight.
The food was absolutely delicious and wonderfully presented. I had the lamb shank for main which was beautifully tender and melted in my mouth. The choice of wine on offer was also impressive and our bottle was delicious.
Our bill came to around €100 for a bottle of wine, a shared starter and 2 main courses and it was worth very penny.
To top our wonderful culinary experience off, the service was perfect. We were offered a complimentary Slovakian liqueur after our food was a nice touch.
The restaurant also has a resident parrot which likes to wolf whistle every now and again. Quite unusual but it added to the charm!

The building that this restaurant is located is a national cultural monument. Situated in a quiet residential district, it is located in the vicinity of the Bratislava Castle. For lunch I had their duck leg with red cabbage and potato pancake for 12 euros. The tasty meat was succulent and tender. Wait staff was efficient and attentive. This attractive location had easy accessibility to the historic city center in addition to being away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

God knows we love a coffee shop! And we are very picky when it comes to this. We love good coffee and good cakes and definitely a quirky cool vibe. Well this had it all. Stumbled upon it by mistake, we sat in for a couple of hours just drinking lovely coffee and tea. It is decorated beautifully, seats are very comfy and they have awesome magazines to wiz through.
Awesome place to sit all day. #SOHNICE

GOD BLESS YOU “God bless you”, this is how also maltsters greet each other and this greeting is also in the house. “The process of brewing of our beer starts with the selection of the raw ingredients of the highest quality. Brewing is done by a traditional technology of double malting using traditional raw ingredients: malt, water, hops and yeast, nothing else to be added. It is brewed exclusively from hops of the highest quality, sourced from Zatevec region. Water used for production is filtered and adjusted. Our beer is the beer of Pilsner type, it is produced by the standard process of bottom fermentation,” says maltster Peter Pramuk. Besides the technology of the highest quality, the process of the beer production is imbedded also in the soul of three owners – beer fans who a few years ago were observing the conceptions of minibreweries with restaurants all around the world. They insisted that beer should be bitter exactly to their taste. And this was something that excellent maltsters – Mr Brauner and Mr Pramuk – have perfectly mastered. WHERE NICE BEER IS BREWED… In order to produce 12 degree beer, the main fermentation takes 8 to 10 days, next fermentation takes 4 weeks. Beer is not filtered or pasteurized, and so it contains live yeast. Beer is carbonized which means that oxidation or beer aging is prevented. Since unfiltered beer does not come into contact with oxygen, rotting is avoided which has a positive impact on its quality. Subsequently, nice hop odour of beer is released and its repletion or greater taste richness is emphasized. THERE MUST BE A GOOD CUISINE. Traditional, conservative, sound and hearty cuisine which goes with beer tries to follow original Pressburg formulas. Naturally, the cuisine is today technologically totally different but some traditional procedures in recipes work till nowadays. The chef Frantisek Sipos stresses the seasonality of some meals or raw food like asparagus, mushrooms, venison or slaughter season which will vary the rigid menu a là carte. Also sweet meals like “sufrle” (dumplings) come from Pressburg. Other caloric calibres are meals proved by decades, for example beef sirloin in cream sauce, dill sauce and homemade dumpling, roast knee or deliciously served brewery delicacy or tartar steak and toast.

Visited this place various times. In this restaurant you will find a good selection of local food, hence is a really good place to start discovering Central European cuisine. The restaurant is big and usually crowd, and this influence the preparation of dishes, and you can perceive they are not prepared sometimes at the moment or with attention to details. The price is anyway coherent with informality of the place and food quality. The dark beer they have, oh my, that's amazing!
