Charming little restaurant on the west side of Berlin, located on the shores of a small lake and close to Centrovital, a hotel/fitness center... Chef wiped up a vegetarian dish (off the menu) that was delightful, and recommended a lovely, light red wine that matched the dish perfectly. Lunch for 2, 80 Euro with wine. Very worthwhile. NOTE: they do not accept international credit cards (as so many places in Germany), make sure you have cash in the wallet.

If you're in Berlin and gotten enough of the City, then I suggest you visit Warsteiner for a late afternoon lunch. The food is good. Service is also good. The setup outside is magnificent. The weather was fairly pleasant where we sat outside and enjoyed the seafront view. The Cuisine is typical German and very good. The menu however is in Dutch. Waiters are good and try to assist but with limited English.

Went there with the family for lunch during a boat trip, one out of three meals was excellent but the others I do not want to commend about. Location great but I would spend the money somewhere else.

We were there when the tourists were not, so it was relatively quiet which made it very special. We could see that it was a very special location and a favorite with the locals during the summer.Our meal was very nice. I will post a photo, the view of the lake was so nice and the tree lined walkway with all the tour boats docked made it special..

I was visiting my family and enquired about a " typical " German restaurant with a Bavarian style of cuisine. This Brauhaus in Spandau was mentioned and we wereon our way !!Normally , we would have to order a table but tonight lady luck was on our side !!The restaurant was crowded and the aroma of German cuisine lingered in the air!! We ordered plenty of beer and the Rinderroulade with Sauerkraut was delicious !! All prices are very reasonableand you won't have any regrets leaving the center of Berlin to taste this specialcuisine !

This very busy restaurant has a huge terrace with great views to the paddocks. Inside is very tastefully decorated, excellent fixed menus & a good choice of other dishes plus a substantial wine/drinks list, all of which comes at a price.We have been dining here a few times & the only reason why we do not give 5 stars is the unfriendly treatment when a small group of us wanted an afternoon aperitivo on the terrace - we were declined. Undeterred once two of us tried again a few months later & were rebuffed once again. Seems they couldn't be bothered giving us an outdoor table @ 17.00 hrs as all laid out for dinner & obviously too much trouble to serve. The snobby attitude was also totally uncalled for. The place is highly recommended but we have since chosen not to dine here again but to take our guests & business to the plenty of other venues in the vicinity.Dear Sir or Madam,thank you for your kind words. We are happy that you enjoyed our food and wines.We apologize if you did not feel welcomed at our restaurant when you visited our terrace last summer. Usually we always go the extra mile to satisfy every clients' need and to make each and every stay at our restaurant an enjoyable experience. I have been living in Berlin for almost 6 years now and can honestly say that after trying a lot of different places nowhere comes close to competing with the Strassenbahndepot in Heiligensee (which has compelled me to write a review!).Firsty, and most importantly to me, the meat served is "Neuland fleisch" which means you can be 100% certain that you eat quality meat from animals who have had an ethical life outdoors. Naturally you have to pay a little more (do you ever ask yourself where the food on your plate comes from?), but the taste and tenderness of the food is astounding.The wine selection is terrific. The waitors will expertly guide you through the menu. The serivce is five star.The menu speaks for itself (you can see this online) and every meal I have tried over the past year has left me extremely satisfied. If you are someone who just wants as much food on their plate for as little money as possible then don't go here. But if you simply love good food, want to try something new and care about what you eat then try the Strassenbahndepot, you will not regret it!
