Classic old-world comfort
Reviewed By GuySeabrookThis is a lovely old world hotel; it has portraits of the ancestors on the walls, marble everywhere, filling breakfasts, female staff in dirndls and shoe shine machines in the hallways. We had a room with a double balcony overlooking the Rhine, which was a lovely place to sit and watch the river traffic. The bathroom had just enough space, the mattresses were a bit tired, the Wi-Fi worked but the real shortcoming of the room was the lack of electrical outlets. We don’t need to shine our shoes, we do need to recharge our phones. Paid parking was not a problem, there’s a private garage 3 streets away. So we really enjoyed it despite the limitations.

Outstanding hotel with incredible food!
Reviewed By AmyjbullockThis was our second stay at the hotel and we just loved it both times! The location is in a residential area about 5 minutes drive from Boppard, with parking outside. The rooms are spacious, with a really comfortable bed, plenty of areas to put your luggage and clothes and since our last visit it has all been refurbished including the addition of air conditioning which was very welcome! Bathroom is compact but ample, with a shower cubicle rather than a bath (which we prefer anyway). We ate at the restaurant each night of our stay and it is outstanding. We treated ourselves to 3 courses each night and they were all delicious, as well as the local wines they serve. Sincere compliments to the chef! Breakfast was equally good - mainly served at the tables and you can help yourself to cereals, juices etc. Portions for both dinner and breakfast were very generous! Finally, but most importantly, the hotel is run by such a welcoming and friendly family. Every staff member we came across during our stay was wonderful, so hospitable, warm, friendly and could not do enough for us - nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend you stay here and we can’t wait to come back!

Great hotel that tries hard
Reviewed By Eliza-TayWe stayed here for four nights this week. We arrived in the dark and pouring rain and the front desk staff immediately made us feel at home. The standard room is a decent size although it does overlook the Rhine River. We ate dinner twice in the hotel restaurant and it was very good. The staff always were attentive and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Room with nice view
Reviewed By AntselmiDas Ebertor is located right in the heart of Boppard. There is grosery store and train station just 100m from the hotel. We had a room with nice view to rive Rhein. It was a hot day, we were very pleased that the room was cool because all the windows were open when we arrived - nice thinking! Room was modern. Bathroom had a bathtub and separate shower. Breakfast was, (allthough because of corona little reduced) very good and we got enough to eat. One minus was too eager cleaner, who twice came to see had we left - allthough there was more than hour time left.

Wonderful hotel, wonderful town to visit
Reviewed By Charles SI spent four days here in May-June 2018. Excellent and friendly and the owner makes omelettes to order fresh on demand. Very good breakfast all round. Great location too only 2 minutes from town centre and across the road from a Roman fortification. Trains can be a bit noisy but you get used to that.

In addition to taking the car, one can also easily reach the same cities by cruise boat, train or bicycle. You'll find an abundance of things to do and see in Boppard, for example hiking: hikers can used the "Rheinsteig" and "Rheinburgenweg" trails, passing through forests and meadows high along the Valley's edge. Reviewed By eliensisIf the system allowed it, this hotel would have 10 stars! It is family owned and run - and it really shows! On arrival, the welcome could not have been warmer! My large room on the 3rd floor (lift) was light and airy, and had a comfortable sitting corner. The balcony had wonderful views, upstream and downstream, and there was always something of interest going on. There was plenty of storage space, and the bathroom was fine. I am not a fan of ‘state of the art’ bathrooms - they tend to be all show and not very practical! (Perhaps the provision of a small fridge and/or a kettle would be the cherry on the cake!) There is always someone on Reception, for help or advice - or just a chat! Good breakfast buffet, served in a very restful room. No restaurant - it is a ‘hotel garni’ - but there are plenty of good (and one or two not so good!) restaurants in the pleasant town, and a small and rather eccentric café next door, with excellent cakes. The ‘customer service’ extended to booking a Covid test for me in a village up in the Hunsrück (nothing in Boppard), and then arranging for the result to be faxed to the neighbouring hotel - and going round to fetch it! We were pleasantly surprised that we could get a room with a balcony so we spent the afternoon relaxing on our balcony, watching the rain, and enjoying the peaceful area. We decided to have dinner there as well and enjoyed a excellent dinner with outstanding service. The staff was very professional, polite, and helpful as well as friendly. A SUPER experience all around.

The Restaurant is Worth a Visit
Reviewed By David HA really friendly place to have a very nice tasting meal.. we really enjoyed it. The Portuguese owner is a bit of a comic ?.. likes a laugh with the customers. I can definitely recommend the Ohm Patt restaurant.. (I have no idea about the hotel accommodation) Not the fastest service.. but who cares, you're on vacation.
