Still our favourite holiday location
Reviewed By icdavidWe have now been back to the Ferienhof Erdrich six times, over 9 years. Every time we visit we feel so welcome and the apartments are just wonderful - even more so following the recent refurbishment. There are so many things to do in the area, and even after all our visits there are always new discoveries. Add to that the help from the Erdrich family - including such things as arranging wine tastings and there is no doubt we will be back again. The perfect holiday location.

Entspannte Tage auf dem Bauernhof
Reviewed By Naschkatze1977Wir haben ein verlängertes Wochenende auf dem Kapfenmathishof verbracht. Trotz schlechten Wetters wurde uns jedoch nicht langweilig. Die Ferienwohnung war hell, sauber und praktisch eingerichtet - es fehlte an nichts. Die Gastgeberin hat uns sehr nett empfangen. Auf dem Hof gibt es eine kleine Auswahl an hausgemachten und regionalen Produkten, sowie einen Brötchenservice, so dass man auf das notwendigste zurückgreifen konnte. Unsere Tochter durfte mit der "Hof-Oma" die Hühnereier sammeln. Der Zugang zum Stall war jederzeit möglich, ebenso durften die Ziegen und der Hase gefüttert werden. Im Keller steht ein Hobby- und Bastelraum zur Verfügung, in dem man sich auch mal austoben kann. Der Hof liegt zwar abseits(zwischen zwei Ortschaften und weit oberhalb der Landstraße), aber genau das macht ihn aus. Von unserer Ferienwohnung aus hatten wir einen wunderbaren Blick auf die Berge des Südschwarzwalds. Im Sommer ist es dort bestimmt noch toller - wir werden es wahrscheinlich mal ausprobieren! Reviewed By RanBarLavieWe stayed in apartment #1 (the one upstairs) for one week in October with our two little kids. Two comfortable bedrooms. Large shower room, super clean. Living room with an old TV set which we didn't need anyway. Well equipped kitchen. We did our groceries in the supermarket in Kirchzarten, 5 minutes away by car. There's also bread service to the door. You can dine inside or in the beautiful balcony on a nice day, viewing the green hills of the black forest, cows, horses, and goats visiting regularly. Playground for the children in the yard, and an indoor game room with plenty toys and games for little kids in the basement. Everything around the house inside and out is perfectly clean. Owners are kind and welcoming, and speak just enough English. The near surrounding makes a nice walk straight from the house. Still a car is essential here. 20 minutes to Freiburg, 30 minutes to Titisee lake, 40 minutes Europa park. Before you rush to Europa park, check out Steinwasen park, 15 minutes from the house and you're there. And just drive around, to Schuinsland, Todnau, Feldberg, the views are spectacular.

Reviewed By denel_84Das Gasthaus ist wärmstens zu empfehlen. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und wir direkt frisch zubereitet. Ideal gelegen für als Zwischenstopp bei der Durchfahrt.

Heerlijk rustig
Reviewed By Martin KOns appartement was wederom top. Klein eenvoudig maar alles aanwezig. Dit keer de hond mee en die had de tijd van zijn leven lekker in de tuin voor de deur met gras. Het is een kleine boerderij met wat koeien en kippen. Maar heerlijk om de boerin wat te kunnen helpen. Verse melk eitjes en honing.. Heerlijk onder de appelboom kunnen zitten als het warm was. Mooie omgeving en vooral RUST.

Wonderful Black Forest experience
Reviewed By Andrea HThe Hanselhof is not "easy access" by American standards; however, once you make the steep drive to the top, you are rewarded. The gardens, chapel, accommodations, and scenery are well worth the distance from town. The Schmidt family have a lovely facility. My husband and I were quite comfortable in our newly renovated rooms. Apartments for families and spacious rooms make this place a favorite for everyone. If you are lucky enough to experience the bar-b-que on the mountain, you will enjoy the meat produced there as well as Mrs. Schmidt's tasty salads and desserts. My favorite was the morning coffee that the owner carefully researched and prepared. There is an interesting playground for the children and plenty of hiking opportunities. I would definitely go again.

A small hotel
Reviewed By Paulina_BaliIt is a nice hotel located a bit remotely :-) in the south part of the Black Forest. If you want to explore the region, Alsace, Lake of Constance it is a good place. Our room was a bit cramped and the isolation between the rooms is pretty poor, you can hear your neighbors sneezing :-) The owner is very friendly.

Off the beaten path
Reviewed By Alena VOff the beaten path guest house close to Freiburg but still somewhat secluded. They don't advertise on any of the major sites for hotels but this is not exactly a hotel but more like 2 small apartment buildings with rooms = apartments to rent for various short stays. The hosts are a wonderful family that own the farm, vineyards, the guest house, the country store and the cafe that goes along with them. The houses are much better maintained then I was seeing here in the States and clean like one wouldn't believe. We needed a crib for our 10 months old daughter and even though it's a bit unusual request Frau Martina and her husband have accommodated this request. Overall I can't say any more praises to the place though some of the requirements are a bit more unusual for those coming from the States.

ein wunderschöner Urlaub
Reviewed By J6053HBmarcogWir haben zwei Wochen bei Familie Bührer im Gästezimmer Rose gewohnt und uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Das Zimmer ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, in der Küche fehlt es an nichts. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich, man kommt auch unter den Corona-Regeln immer wieder nett ins Gespräch und für Kinder ist der Spielplatz ein Paradies, mit Rutsche, Seilrutsche, vielen verschiedenen Schaukeln, Fußballtoren, Tischtennisplatten, gemütlichen Sitzgelegenheiten und zahlreichen Fahrzeugen wie Traktoren und Fahrrädern. Sogar ein Pool und eine Sauna gibt es. Das Domizil legt günstig für Ausflüge nach Freiburg, zum Kandel oder verschiedene Tälern und man kann direkt vom Haus zahlreiche Wanderungen machen. Wir wollen auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Aufenthalt bei Familie Bührer. Danke für den wunderschönen Urlaub sagen Theresa, Thea und Marco

Wunderschöner Bauernhofurlaub
Reviewed By antje1991Wir haben eine tolle Woche auf dem Danielenhof verbracht. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und bemüht. Die Ferienwohnung war super sauber und gut ausgestattet. Man kann ein sehr leckeres Frühstück dazu buchen, alternativ gibt es auch einen leckeren Brötchenservice. Unsere 3 jährige Tochter hatte viel Freude mit dem Trampolin und den Tieren. Pony Susi durften wir zweimal zum reiten/spazierengehen mitnehmen. Auch beim Füttern der Kühe oder beim Einsammeln der Eier durfte sie mithelfen. Bei schlechtem Wetter gibt es ein gut ausgestattetes Spielzimmer im Keller. Die Umgebung ist wunderschön und man kann viel unternehmen. Wir kommen wieder ! ?
