The place is quite nice and upscale, although the toilet could use a bit of maintenance. The food was not too inspiring, though. I only had momos, which were rather tasteless. Probably other items are better. The staff were all playing noisy video games when they weren't actually working, which I found really annoying. They should at least have had the sound turned way down. And there should have been someone paying attention to the customers all the time.Dear Teri T Jullay Thanks for taking out time to write review for us. And lastly regarding Momos, we make it in traditional Ladakhi/Tibetan style which is little bit plain as compare to what normally other food joints sell here in Leh as well as other part of country, so we guess that is why you found it tasteless. Upon return from our 10-day trek in January we enjoyed a delicious lunch at Red Sauce. We asked our waiter for a recommendation and he suggested to try the Afghan Chicken which was delicious.If you just stop in to enjoy a Chai, the Restaurant has a comfy corner to relax and exchange travel stories with other travelers

Just went for tea, which was good. Although they were really friendly, there was something about the place that left me feeling a little uncomfortable and I didn't go back again.

When I first arrived at this place, I was quite apprehensive about the quality of food. But as soon as the food arrived it all vanished into thin air and I found myself gorging on the delicious food. This place is bang opposite to Lamayuru monastery and is situated in a picturesque location. Interestingly they have a stuffed yak in their middle of their garden and a stuffed fox in the dining room.I was with my father and mother and we ordered Veg fried rice, plain rice, dal tadka and chapatis. I was amazed at the freshness of vegetables, it felt like they just went into their garden after receiving my order and plucked out whatever they needed. It was one of the best dining experiences I had while I was in Ladakh though I felt like the service was a bit slow as we were the only group there. But the wait was worth it. Location of this place is excellent and ambience is good too. After having a satisfying meal, I was shocked (positively) to see a bill of 240 INR! Their humility and hospitality was heart warming and my inner conscience forced me to tip them well. I would recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Lamayuru.Cheers....
