FRIDO - Fritto e Crudo

Frido is a place that escapes conventional labels, where the needs of a fast meal meet a slow restorative mode. Fried and raw, two tasty faces of the same gastronomic coin for a quick break without having to give up quality and research.

Firstly, you need to consider the setting. It’s actually almost a fast food restaurant. You go and order inside at the counter. The selection is small. The food is then delivered to your table (only outside) in plastic dishes. The food was very good. Tuna ceviche, fried seafood mix, guacamole and wakame salad. Glass of wine 5 eur and one beer. Total bill 44 eur! For fast food too much. But yes, the food was very good.Dear Dafne07, you are right with your observation, Oz & Cappuccio is not a restaurant. Due to our reduced space, limits in the kitchen and missing toilets we have only a basic take away license, which does not allow us to use porcelain or glass. Nevertheless we are using disposable dishes made from a biodegradable mais fibre and cellulose pulp, Oz & Cappuccio is Plastic Free from the first day of it’s existence. The high prices, compared to other take away joints in town has to do with our choice to use only the best in produce that Sicily has to offer. We cooperate directly with certified organic producers of vegetables and fruit, the fish is the freshest you can get in Siracusa and comes directly from our own fish shop where Marco Cappuccio’s father makes sure to give us the best of the best. Quality has it’s price, and the prices are public. It is your choice to come and eat the treasures of the sea and support the fight for less pollution.Fast at Oz & Cappuccio is the kitchen, not the food. The food is slow and healthy. Eating fresh fish is a luxury and 22€ you spent is well invested. Good luck finding our quality elsewhere Marcin Oz
