This my first visit to Via Brasil and I was delighted with the level of care and attention to details! Amazing food, outstanding service, chill music and roof-top view of the city. I would like to thank Mr. Ausburn, Ms. Ann and Mr. Umair the chef for the excellent service. I would like also to thank the management of the Ramada and the Restaurant for hiring such team. I have visited this restaurant on several occasions whilst in Bahrain and it never fails to disappoint. The steaks are possibly the best I have eaten anywhere and cooked to perfection. I made a reservation to celebrate our wedding anniversary, the staff made all the arrangements.The restaurant ambience, view of the bay and all the arrangements made the night amazing (I don't want to say it, just in case you want to surprise your significant others, the restaurant gives something to remind you of the evening ;) The food was of the chart, it indulges your senses (from the way it is prepared with the freshest ingredients to the presentation). We had the filet mignon, the portion was perfect, not to mention what the chief send as a compliment. The staff were simply outstanding (thanks George). We were given a tour of the open kitchen concept at the end of the evening, I want to go back and try it.

This was my second time at the restaurant and after a poor first experience last year, I thought to give it another chance. Unfortunately, not much has changed. We ordered 2 Kobe steaks, and while they were cooked to the right temperature, the steaks were average at best. I would recommend sticking to the other options for a quarter of the price. I had asked to use the entertainer voucher after ordering; my server informed me that this would only be up to the value of the coupon (12BD) and I would have to pay the difference in price for our steak, to which I agreed. After a few minutes he returned with a bizarre story of how "premium" selections of meat are not included in the entertainer offer and his manager stated we were unable to use the voucher. I asked to speak with the manager, but I was told (quite conveniently) that he had just left the restaurant moments ago. The server backpedaled instantly and said I could use the coupon if I wanted to. This kind of chicanery was also used a year ago when I last visited the restaurant and made for an extremely disappointing experience. Perhaps the restaurant shouldn't partner up with the entertainer if they do not want customers to avail the offers.
