We had the set menu with the wine option and really enjoyed the meal. starter was okay with great olives but cold pizza?? Not sure that exists on the antipasti okay list...Moved on to the rib eye and it was fantastic , well cooked and extremely tasty. So many sides, almost too many to try.Constant refills on wine from the excellent staff and overall a really nice meal would recommend if staying at the Fairmont.

Karthik our server was unbelievable. So kind, attentive and incredibly knowledgeable about the wines and foods on the menu. Thank you very much Karthik for our brunch. The excitement of eating in a new steak restaurant is like waiting for a new blockbuster film to come out in the cinema. You look forward to it but until you see the film you have no idea if it is going to live up to the hype.So when I had a reservation for Rayâs Grill I was super excited to see if it lives up to the hype.Quite simply it is even betterâ¦The attention to detail is what sets this restaurant apart from so many other restaurants.The menu has an excellent choice and this is backed up with a superb wine list.So for starter I had the warm lobster salad. A great choice with fresh lobster, jersey royal potatoes and a rich mango dressing, light yet the perfect starter. For the main event I choose a Japanese snow beef tenderloin with the traditional fries and bearnaise sauce. Before the dish arrived I was given the opportunity to mix and grind my own peppercorns to accompany the meat and this was original and unique but worked perfectly to enhance the meat.The steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and full of flavor. We had a lovely time. The restaurant has wonderful love seats, the lights are dim and the atmosphere is quite cozy. We had a delectable Ozzie sparkling wine, crab cakes and steak. Obviously the management has told the waiters to pause between service. The unacceptable thing was that we were sold unlimited drinks because when you order â2â, already; it is going to be cheaper than ordering â1â instead. However soon we understood that this was a gimmick. Because I had to wait for my juice for 10 minutes. Ultimately I had to complain and paid only â1â instead but why the wait and why to complain??? Better service means more repeat business... watch out because a lot of people are reading this and please change your way of service. You have good food and you deserve better and more stars

If you want to enjoy the real meat JW Steakhouse is the place where you can definitely do it. It is my number one choice in AD not only for the steaks but also for me it is one of ghe best restaurants. The staff is always friendly, great selection of wine.
