Brick Steakhouse

Brick SteakHouse is one of the best culinary experiences I’ve had in Guadalajara. The design of the place makes for a comfortable, yet sophisticated ambience. The service was not only friendly and helpful but they were attentive to our needs. The quality of the food was superb. Our Porterhouse was cooked to perfection and the sides were flavourful. The desserts were second to none. We had the cornbread with dulce de leche and the cassoulet of berries and chocolate, amazing. Also, they have a great selection of local, artisanal beers as well as great wine list which is well priced. This place is a must.

The writing was on the wall - the moment we sat down...this was labeled as "Spanish restaurant"...first thing they offered was an assortment/menu of Gin and tonics???, where is the Rioja wine. I asked for a cold bottle of Albarino...the waiter looked puzzle and immediately said "we do not have it"...I looked at the wine list and right on the top line is Rias Baixas Albarino...they had it on the menu but no wine, we ordered a french wine that it was corked, tried another choice and they could not find it...so my friends and I decided to leave the table. I must say the maitre D' was very kind when I asked him to get us a taxi. Too bad I was in the mood for Spanish wine and food.We are so sorry your experience with us was so bad, We are working hard to improve this details, In your visit the Manager was not there and the waiter was new. We are terrible sorry for this disaster. If you can give us another chance we will gladly invite you the dinner and try our really experience. Please feel free to contact me 01523331463932 or send me an email so we can get in touch with you: [email protected] you so much for your review. We are working in this aspects very hard. La Hosteria del Angel

It's been 28 years since the beginning of this wonderful culinary adventure called "Hostería del Ángel" A voyage of mediterranean food and house made charcuterie.

Owned by the same family that run Doña Gabina Escolastica (traditional Mexican), La Hosteria del Angel offers an Italian menu, albeit some dishes reflect a Mexican seasoning profile. The inner courtyard setting is lovely; the service friendly and more attentive than in many locations. We were taken here by locals desirous of showing off one of their favorite restaurants in town. We visited for dinner and had appetizers: mushrooms in a wine sauce, olives, and a bruschetta with serrano ham, followed by entrees: salmon and pork. Everything was tasty and portions were so big that we had no room for dessert.

Ventresca

I went to Ventresca on my own. I had a delicious tuna tartar, a very nice solomillo and a so-so dessert (crema catalana foam). One thing they could improve is the temperature at which wine is served: a Mexican merlot I ordered was way too cold to enjoy. Nobody wants to wait 20 minutes to be able to enjoy your glass of wine.
