After booking a week in the hotel Neptun in Norddorf (attached to this restaurant), I was enquiring about options of dietary adjustments to their breakfast, such as gluten free bread, non-dairy milk and free range eggs. This was replied to very blandly saying that nothing like that is available. I then carefully elucidated that such dietary needs are common and standard in most hotels globally these days. I even addressed that such items should be easily available in any supermarket, let alone hotel F&B providers. This was followed by a message from the hotel to rather look for another hotel and cancel the booking. We are travelling a lot all over the world but this is the first time I have encountered such a rude approach. These people are in the wrong place in the service industry.

This excellent fish restaurant is located directly opposite the Amrumer Yacht Club/harbor. Seating can be inside or outside with a very good wind protected area. The menu offers an excellent choice of fish and meat dishes. All the dishes are freshly prepared and according to the menu you can order special fish dishes in advance. The fried potatoes and salads are tasty and substantial. The "Yachthafentappas" as a starter is outstanding. Our fish was done to perfection. A good choice of German wines was also available. Very friendly staff. We definitely will visit again!

Home-style cooking, local produce and local recipes, very friendly service. Make sure you try the prawns; they are tiny, and very tasty.

Traditional restaurant serving local/seasonal food. We opted for the pasta with mushrooms, which was nice enough, but nothing special I could not cook at home. The service staff were friendly, all wearing the colours of the German National soccer team. Nice little touch. The dessert menu did not look to exciting, hence we did not order anything. Overall a nice enough experience, but not for rushing back the next day.

On a bicycle tour we stopped hear because of the beautiful patio and we felt like fresh fish. Wow. Nice little cafe/restaurant. The staff, although closing for mid-afternoon (kitchen closed, but fresh food still available), were very friendly and helpful. I had smoked mackerel with a beautiful potato salad and a nice dunkel beer to top it off.We wanted to return the next day but it was closed (I think) on Sunday. I don't understand this during the busiest time of year but these are personal choices.If I return to Amrum, this would be the first restaurant we would return to for the seafood, atmosphere and friendly staff. They also speak English, or at least she did.Well done!

We have to admit that we cannot compare this restaurants to others in Norddorf or on Amrum. As we liked it so much on our first night that we decided to come back the 2nd (and unfortunately last night) of our stay on Amrum. During the weekend this restaurant is rather busy, so we would recommend to reserve at least a day in advance to secure you a table.Although we did not test their meat dishes, we can definitely recommend their fish and seafood dishes. The products are fresh and mainly from the region. On both nights we had different fish and seafood dishes as starter and main dish. Always very tasty! They have a great selection of classics as well as some more modern / surprising takes on fish dishes, e.g. pesto crust or seaweed noodles. We can recommend both very much!The atmosphere and the staff of the restaurant are very professional and really nice, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
