A seafood restaurant right on the water front with an amazing view, good food and service. If you sit outside you need a jacket as it is always windy!

We'd never been to Nea Makri but were on our way back from Marathonas to the airport so took a chance and drove down to the coast. As soon as we arrived we stumbled upon this restaurant. The setting was perfect - beside the coast and peaceful. The waiter was helpful. And we had some wonderful food. We started by sharing fava (split pea puree), salad and boiled courgettes. And for mains we had the freshest red mullet, and spaghetti with prawns (also very fresh) in tomato sauce. The prawns had been properly prepared with the digestive tract removed and you could tell they were incredibly fresh in the way they came away from the shell. The other customers were all locals.Definitely one to recommend.

Simple, well cooked local food. House wine was great and the staff were very friendly. Grilled squid, Greek salad, Tzatziki, bread and olives. Two beers wine and water, 26 euros for two. Very enjoyable.

A family owned Greek tavern,by the sea, with great food and excellent service. I will highlight the words family owned, because behind these 2 words, lies the secret of all tasty plates on the menu. All plates are really homemade,so is the service. The almost traditional decoration, enhanced with happy colors, predispose for a good time. Don't miss "Kritharoto with shrimps",for nothing!

This was our second visit for lunch, after our favourite long walk along the sea front and once again everything was great. The fried gavros (anchovies) was perfect, the fava just as we like it (warm & not too mashed up) and the Poseidon salad was terrific. The white house wine very nice too. Very good service and clean toilets. Can't wait to visit again.

typical greek tavern by the sea. unfortunately like most of those places, prices are higher than normal. Try to avoid it in the weekends, you might get a better treat the rest of the week.

This is a traditional Greek taverna, squashed between the main road and the sea, advertising 'free' sunbeds (very tired and torn!) on the scrappy strip of beach. However, the number of cars parked outside persuaded us to stop and we were the only Brits on a terrace full of locals enjoying Sunday lunch. Service was good, portions were large and the fried calamares was deliciously fresh (the best we had all week), the fried aubergine was crispy and the Greek salad was perfect. Best of all, it was redolent of the wonderful holidays we enjoyed in Greece in the 80s.

10 days in Greece, staying in Spata- near airport- we enjoyed this taverna in the beach side town of Artemida. Quick drive 15 minutes from Spata; park along the beach. They have a restaurant on either side of the road. Both are cute; better view on the beach, bathrooms across the road.Service friendly; food good and authentic; grilled chicken, fish, salad and some wine. Stroll outside along the coast or into town. Can't lose. You can't lose by going to Greece- what great people, food, and world class sites at reasonable prices!
