Weâve visited this tavern today early afternoon for lunch and finally we have found a place where small (fried) fish is on stock! It was very delicious as well as the mousaka and tzaziki, I highly recommend this place (not to mention the giant portions)!Local Greek people /consumers/ are also very friedly here - itâs always a good sign if locals visit the place.

Always a great place to go for a meal. The food is always of a very high standard. Staff are very pleasant and friendly and always welcome you. The view is not great but the food makes up for that. Always a nice relaxed atmosphere.

My wife and two young children found this seaside tavern last year.it is a family run tavern with good coffee and a variety of beers that you can enjoy on the beachbeds next to the sea.Kostas is the owner,a wonderful man that makes it his mission to accommodate you and please you.the food is always excellent!! I have visited the place last year for a week and this year 12 days,almost every day.something should be off at some point..no!! Food is always excellent whatever you order,prices are very reasonable for a beachtavern,and there is always a smile to welcome you.you can ask kostas and his family for variations in your food,they will do their best to accommodate you.you can ask information about the village,beaches,even medical emergencies,they will tell you exactly where to go and moreover offer to take you there.it is a place that I feel welcome and next year I will be happy to come again! 5 stars are not enough!

We ate here twice in our four nights in Makry-Gialos. The food was delicious, and we loved sitting outside looking right at the sea.The servers were friendly and attentive. The servings were so enormous that we were able to have a full meal out of the leftovers. Highly recommended!

This is a stunning location and a fantastic place to eat and drink. Dining under the shade of the old trees overlooking a lovely bay is a wonderful way to spend a few hours before spending the rest of the day relaxing on the beach.We shared a selection of the starters and âgrazedâ for hours. The service was excellent, with really helpful and friendly staff. Not easily accessible, but well worth the effort. Stunning.

Would totally recommend the Lamb Osso Bucco, my favourite meal of the holiday. Very popular and the food was very good. Not the largest restaurant, and tightly packed, hence the need to book. We meant to visit more than once but they were full when we turned up. But well worth a visit.

This taverna prides itself on its fish and the owner has his own boat . However the evening we went they did not have the fish I had wanted to try . That's fishing .However I had the pork knuckle instead which as others have said is excellent served with rosemary gravy . This was our second visit to this place . The first time we chose it on the basis as the flowers and plants were well looked after the food was also likely to be good and it was . It was a place families of locals eat at . We both had the beef kleftika which came in a stew pot and was bursting with flavour and with lots of fresh vegetables . But what I wanted to mention were the starters , the baked feta cheese and the courgette pie were really good . I am guessing the slithers of courgette are baked with little pieces of feta cheese in an egg and milk . However it's made , it's really nice

Located on a very quiet beach front, west of the harbour of Makry Gialos. A five minute walk from the harbour. Closed on Mondays. Inside and outside seating, table service and bar service. We are a full service Restaurant.

We were taken here by friends who live in Makry Gialos. Weâd eaten here last year so knew what to expect. This restaurant always lives up to its reputation. I had Thai curry, just the right amount of spices. My wife had roast lamb, very tender. I wouldnât hesitate to recommend this place. Dolores is an excellent host.Thank you for taking the time to review Stratos and for your kind words and recommendations. We look forward to serving you again in the not too distant future. Once again, thank you.
