I'am from Catalunya, mediterranean sea..., i really know what is good food and good paellas, seafood...etc... i can say that there i'd eaten a high level paella and seafood. Try the "cole cole fish" or the tuna, or the famous black paella... All food is fresh. Beside all, Miquel, the chef, is so charm and kind. Great great food at great environment!!! Great oportunity to eat great paella far from Catalunya.

This restaurant has a laid-back, cool atmosphere with a good selection of food. We visited the day before they were due to close (assume for the low season) and told they didn't have much food left, when we were told what they did have we were pleasantly surprised by the selection available! The curry here was the best found in Zanzibar! The choice and balance of spices was excellent and a large portion size. The latter goes for the other dishes served too. The service was slow, although this is to be expected for Zanzibar, but the decor and ambience of the restaurant meant the wait was pleasant. The serving staff were good and attentive although others behind the bar were less polite; they seemed reluctant to serve us and barely raised their heads from the screens on their phones when asked for directions to the toilets. Perhaps they were tired and looking forward to closing shop for a while!Thank you for the review...sorry for the inconvenience but it was our first opening season and many thinks are change now. We were staying next door but walked over to this restaurant fir lunch and then dinner. Iâm so glad we did. Of course sitting practically âonâ the beach is a plus but the food and service were equally enticing. Fresh and delicious dishes made it a perfect spot for our dining!

This place came highly recommended by someone who goes regularly so we were a bit disappointed to receive re-heated food with questionable salads at high prices. Also there was a very bad smell coming from the kitchen. Maybe we went on a bad day (Eid weekend) but if the chef was off they could have shut for the night...would not recommend.Dear Lucyy990,we are sorry to read your comment, we have several regular customers who come to our restaurant, what we like is give the best to eat well with everyday fresh products, to our customers. I can't believe the best restaurantin Jambiani clearly chooses to violate the law and allow smoking at dinning tables despite our complaints.DISGUSTING!!!Dear guest,First we thank you for having dinner at our restaurant twice.Regarding the smoking, first our restaurant is an open restaurant, second we cannot prohibit smoking while in many restaurants on the Island is allowed, this because Tanzania has no any law that states the prohibition of smoking at restaurants, but is the case of discipline, an individual him/herself to understand that smoking can be annoying and troublesome to others. About the complaints, we didn't receive any complaint about this, but i we do for any troublesome or problem, taking action on it is our first rule.But perhaps we will take your review as an advice for our restaurant.Thanks.
