Location minuscola ma curata e carina. Cucina solo di pesce: buoni i piatti ma nulla di eccezionale. Il crostino di salmone è una semplice fetta di pane con una fetta di salmone sopra e un tuorlo dâuovo fritto: 10⬠è un prezzo veramente troppo alto. Lâinsalata di mare buona, il polpo buono ma aveva un sapore troppo forte di piastra. La frittura buona. In generale le porzioni non sono molto abbondanti e i prezzi troppo alti. La cameriera di sala gentile e cordiale. Il mio consiglio è di evitare di condire troppo il pesce sopratutto con aglio e cipolla, se il pesce è fresco non ne va coperto il sapore.

After a several hour shopping trek in Deruta, my husband and I asked a local shopkeeper for a lunch recommendation. He responded by asking us, "Do you have time or do you have to rush off?" We said we had time. He suggested L'Antico Forziere, just a couple of km from where we were, and that if we went there, we would want to return again and again. Wow, what a great two hours we spent at this lovely ristorante. A picturesque and historic setting, a 400 year old building, where the lower level is where you can enjoy a truly delicious dining experience in a comfortable and relaxing environment. So pretty when we walked in. Nice regional wine list, interesting menu with lovely combinations, it was difficult to choose. The scallops for antipasti were cooked perfectly, crisp outer side yet they achieved that melt-in-your-mouth with a mousse that was divine. I chose the tuna and my husband the pork. The pork was uniquely plated and paired with greens and a pineappley addition which created the perfect combo of crunch and flavor. The tuna was seared beautifully alongside a geometric grouping of green beans and veges. The cinnamon creme brûlée with wine-drenched pear brought all these flavors together in a wonderful way, the presentation almost too beautiful to eat alongside the expertly created spun sugar decorations. We devoured it.Our waiter was so friendly, and let us enjoy our wonderful lunch here undisturbed. Thank you to this wonderful family owned restaurant. We will be back....again and again.Thank you again for the lunch in our restaurant and thank you very much for your wonderful review. Lovely cosy restaurant in the old centre of Foligno. The owner/chef is Sicilian and there are many typical Sicilian dishes on the varied menu. There are also some very creative photos around to enjoy as well as the excellent food.

Just love this husband and wife run Sushi restaurant! We have now eaten here 3 times and take out once. It has never been a disappointment. The fish is fresh and prepared the way it should be. Beautiful presentations and excellent sake and wines. Thanks dude!

We chose this place because we have spent time in Sicily and love their flavorful food. And, we are seafood lovers.We both ordered the swordfish with capers, tomatoes, and olives. In theory, this should be a great dish. The fish was extremely fishy an not fresh tasting. The olives were nearly flavorless like canned ripe olives. The crostini assortment we started with was fine though.

With church bells chiming on the quarter hour, we entered the quiet space of Ottavio Mare in Bevagna to begin our divine seafood meal. Greeted by the chef/owner, Vittorio, who was the only English-speaking employee, we embarked upon a dinner beginning with an amuse-bouche of smoked fresh anchovies on brown bread, fried rice cracker in squid ink with a whitefish mousse, and truffle rolls with oyster butter. I chose two cold appetizers: smoked salmon with two types of beet zest and tuna crudo topped with tuna sauce. I followed the appetizers with a handmade ravioli filled with a fava bean purée topped with sweet red prawns and truffles...each dish more unique and distinctly flavored than the previous one. My husband - after sharing my appetizers - enjoyed a sushi-style salmon wrapped in nori coated with a crunchy topping and flavored with a mild Asian sauce. The chef was incredibly accommodating and helpful. Unable to resist, we ordered dessert: a Mille feuille with chocolate and mocha cream, and a chilled passion fruit mousse cake accompanied by a tiny creme brûlée. Everything was incredibly delicious, and if you are ever in Bevagna, I recommend this as a must!
