After a disappointing meal we hadn't eaten at Joey's Only for quite some time. We received a two for one coupon and decided to try them again "on the cheap!!" We're glad we did. The fish was cooked perfectly and Julie, our server, was fast ad friendly. We'll be back!!

I recently saw an ad on the side of the road advertising Captain George's and decided to check out their menu items on the internet. One of the few places that will serve Halibut as one of the fish platters. Well that sold me.After an afternoon shopping in Massena, we decided to get takeout and ordered the Captain George's platter and a two piece Halibut and chips. We had a drive of an hour still, but knew we could reheat it gently in the oven. It was everything I'd hoped for. As an ex-Brit, I love my fish and chips and just have not found anything around that can compete. Well Captain George's does and does it extremely well.The halibut was cooked to perfection and with perfect chippy fries. My platter also came with shrimp and scallops which was a nice little treat. The prices are reasonable considering the price of halibut these days. Next time we will eat in to have it fresh out of the fryer.Even if you live in Ottawa, I suggest you drive down to this fantastic fish and chip shop. They also offer so much more on the menu, enough for any fussy eater. It is worth the drive again and again.

The menu is pretty basic (fish and chips and a few accompanying options like mushy peas). Although on the weekend they also offer a daily meat choice, we had the fish. The quality of the fish is excellent, the breading not too thick. I ordered it with extra coleslaw instead of French fries (they readily obliged) which cut the grease considerably.The decor is very plain, not overly attractive, but fits a traditional fish and chips shop. This shop is also a local source for English treats like Rowntree chocolates.

Table21 is a modern and eclectic atmosphere that is appealing to the eye. You can expect excellent service, good food presentation and an enjoyable meal. Although the prices are a tad high for the area and for the amount of food you receive, the restaurant is definitely âa nice to haveâ in downtown Cornwall.

This is my second visit to Sheepâs Head, and they havenât disappointed yet. My first visit was the steak, which was great, so this time I wanted to be a little more adventurous, so I tried the Blackened Tuna special. Delicious. And so weâll prepared. I definitely plan on returning.
