Auffällig beim Betreten des Lokals ist die, im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen örtlichen Lokalen, zwar maritime Dekoration, diese aber dezent und in modernem Stil. Hier herrschen Blau- und Grautöne vor. Besonders auffällig ist die ist die Deckengestaltung: kleine Strahler formieren sich in Gestalt einer stilisierten Kompassrose um ein historisches Schiffssteuerrad.Das Lokal wird von zwei freundlichen Damen mittleren Alters betrieben. Fischgerichte dominieren hier, wie könnte es am Meer anders sein, die Speisekarte. Alle Speisen sind reichlich und sehr lecker zubereitet, besonders auch die Salate.Hier, wie auch in vielen anderen Lokalen der Region, scheint "Andalö", ein Sanddornliqueur mit ca. 15% Alkohol eine Spezialität zu sein. Im "Raub" wird er u.a. als Dessert, zusammen mit Sekt und einer Kugel Vanilleeis angeboten. Eine Leckerei, die man sich nicht entgehen lassen sollte.

We were nicely surprised to find out that there was a really good pizzeria in Kleinwaabs, not far away from the camping sites.We had pappardelle alla boscaiola ( mushrooms) which were delicious. Our neighbours unfortunately had chosen the rubbery salmon pappardelle. The sauce though was good.Dogs were accepted as long as they did not bother anybody. The service was prompt.Pizzas apparently are good, people choosing mostly those. They look "fatte in casa" and seem to be good, according to a diploma saying they had been elected best pizzeria of Schleswig Holstein years ago.

Wer hätte das etwas abseits hinter dem Yachthafen erwartet? Fein abgeschmeckte mediterrane Küche, frische Gartenkräuter, frischer Fisch vom Grill von Dorsch über Meerforelle bis Zander. Feiner Wildkräutersalat, Rosmarinkartoffeln mit Meersalz. Toller Ausblick auf das Meer. Kinderspielplatz und Spielzeug sowie Bücher. Sehr netter Wirt, persönliche Atmosphäre. Immer wieder! Sehr saubere Toiletten. Sehr gepflegte AuÃenanlage mit tollen Blumen. Einfach klasse! Weiter so.

Restaurant has a friendly ambiance with comfortable seating inside or on the balcony. The menu is not frilly and offers plenty for the seafood seeking diner. My wife and I were both impressed with the quality of service, presentation and taste of our dishes. We agreed that it was a nice experience and great value for the price. If you have some room left you can share a delicious dessert too.

Delicious dinner and friendly staff! We stopped there by chance and did not regret it at all ! The restaurant was actually fully booked: we were asked if we would mind sharing a table for four with another couple. We ended the evening chatting with our neighbours and the table beside: all were sailors and had sailed to eckenforder like us in the afternoon. A very nice way to end the day !

Stopped by Aal on a weekdn trip to the North Sea with some friends.Location-wise, it's easy to find, and away from the hussle and bustle of the main street.But more importantly, the staff was super friendly and accomodating, service was quick and the food was great. No wonder the place has been open since 1911!

During our stay in Kappeln we had to visit "die Alte Räucherei" in Kappeln because that is the place where you can eat delecious fish in a great atmosphere directly at the harbor of Kappeln. We had a beautiful table directly at the bar. We enjoyed our dinner with a glas of cider. I had the "Gourmet Teller" with filets of "Scholle" and king prawns served with a salad and fried potatoes. We had a beautiful time there and we are looking forward to our next stay in Kappeln and dinner at Duncan's (owner of Alte Räucherei) place!

We were very happy to come back to Eckernförde and enjoy a wonderful lunch. We have lots of special memories of this restaurant and we have visited it almost in every trip to Eckernförde at the Baltic see since around 20 years. This restaurant has been transformed a lot. Kitchen was alway great, but now the menu is wonderful. We have found the classical food from the Baltic see, but several other very tasty new dishes. And the service is also marvelous. We are sure we will come back in our next visit! I just would like to recommend you to reserve your table on time.

We were looking for a place where the famous Eckernfoerde "Fischbroetchen" were served. We came to the Fischbroetchen-Manufaktur and indeed here you will get a highlight of this delicacy. Hiring served in a warm bun with lettuce and a light sauce, onions of your choice. We came from DK where Fischbroetchen are virtually unavailable and can only recommend this place very much.
