Whilst in Russia attending a family wedding we were recommended this restaurant and were not disappointed! The theme of the place is based on an old Russian tv programme not dissimilar to Austin Powers and the basement is set out like a film set. There are many props from the film scattered around the restaurant. We had a selection of Russian dishes washed down with beer and a local Horseradish based spirit which nearly took my head off!A great experience and I suspect the place gets very busy in the evenings ( we took lunch there).Recommended to anyone following the Golden Ring of Russian cities.Thanks for the feedback!We are trying for you!We are looking forward to visiting again!Sincerely, the restaurant administrator, Dmitry.

This restaurant is undoubtedly one of the better places in this historic Russian town. The offers a selection of traditional Russian food at very reasonable prices and the staff was friendly and service minded.I would recommend trying a set of nastoykas, which is different liqueurs containing an infusion of herbs and/or fruits in brandy or vodka. The restaurant sells sets containing from 5 to 7 different types, but they can also be bought individually.Thank you very much for your feedback!

This was a great place for us as we were seeking authentic Russian food in a cosy Slavic interior. Not only we found both, the place surprised us with the following: old-age Slavic dishes, authentic and natural Russian honey based brews, quick and great service. The price tag was a total shock: the family of fours eat a two course dinner with drinks and appetizers was about$35 total, which is a steal. A collleague recommended this restaurant for fish dishes. I had a fish soup on base of milk what was very good. Afterward I had a fish steak. It was good but not perfect. So for me all in all it was an average experience. Prices were ok.

As a group, we ordered on arrival at the Kremlin. After our tour we handed over our tickets and food and drinks arrived pronto.Excellent Russian cuisine.Beautiful large room, good service, friendly staff. Was quite popular with the locals.Would definitely visit again. Reasonably priced.

We came for an early dinner at a time when this cafe was hosting a birthday party. That meant the kids were walking through the remaining dining area while we were eating, which wasn't fun. It was a great pleasure finding this restaurant. Food was very good, specially the fried dumplings and the gratin dumplings with cheese. The waiter who served our table was very attentive, called a taxi for bringing us to the train station, offered herself to go out and inform the taxi driver the direction we wanted to go and since I was still drinking my coffee when the taxi arrived, she realized that the cup of coffee was still full and offered herself to transfer the coffee to a paper cup, in this manner I could finish my coffee in the taxi.

Nous logions à lâhôtel qui est situé à côté et nous avons tout naturellement "atterri " dans ce restaurant à la fois pour le dîner comme pour le petit déjeuner. La cuisine pour le dîner est correcte est le service efficace et assez sympathique. Le petit déjeuner en self service est bien fourni. Petite anecdote.. au petit déjeuner on vient nous proposer un dessert qui était proposé la veille au soir, nous acceptons poliment ce que nous croyions être un cadeau et le mangeons (partiellement parce quâen fait câétait pas terrible ! ) Nous sortons pour retourner dans notre chambre et commençons à faire nos valises... 5 minutes plus tard on vient toquer à la porte pour nous réclamer le paiement de ce dessert... câétait pas un cadeau !
