Tuck and Tanner was the first, well-needed eatery to open in the area and it has not disappointed! The menu isn't the healthiest but it's varied and I like the daily weekday specials, particularly the homemade pizza. I do wish the baked/grilled chicken options were still on the menu. There is a rival gastro pub that is slightly further away but the friendly staff and lots of meal/dessert choices keeps up going back.Hello, Thank you for your fabulous feedback! Lived in Hucknal over 20 years and visited the Nabb inn for the first time tonight and was pleasantly surprised, the meal was great and very good value. just got home from having a curry in the pilgrim oak it was busy but we found a table and ordered our food and a pint very quick service and polite staff the curry was bang on and we enjoyed cheersThank you for your great review!! We hope you'll be joining us again soon.

My family and I have just enjoyed a beautiful meat in this pleasant friendly pub/ restaurant. The chef was excellent and allowed my awkward fussy eating child to invent his own meal, so for once he actually ate untill he was full and that is a first. I had the stake and stilton pie, the filling was absolutely beautiful wrapped in a pastry that was to die for. Over all lovely freshly cooked food, friendly staff, nice place that I would definitely visit again.

I went to Oliver's for the first time for Lunch with a couple of friends. The staff where very friendly & welcoming. The food was excellent, 2 of us had freshly cooked cod in light crispy batter, peas & hand cut chips. Our other friend had the pie which she said was equally as good. It was 2 for £10 & drinks £2 we couldn't believe the excellent value for money for the quality of the food. Unfortunately we didn't have time to try homemade deserts which sounded tempting, next time we will.

Visited as a family of 4 with 2 boys, ordered on a Saturday off the value menu which was a great price for around £20 for 4 of us with drinks. The food that came tasted great and was a good portion size for the price. Couldnât complain at all was really nice. Will return again soon for the 3 course deals on in the week.

Just wanted to thank Sarah, Ben and Miriam from the Horse and Groom, Moorgreen, Notts.These lovely, kind and helpful people really helped us yesterday. They went above and beyond. We were travelling to a family wedding at Greasley church yesterday, Friday 20th September. A three and a half hour journey took nearly 5 hours due to various traffic problems, road closures etc and at one point we thought we were going to miss the wedding altogether. We called ahead and Sarah said the church was just down the road from The Horse and Groom and that we could change into our wedding attire in the pub which we did! They let my elderly Mum change in a bigger room and were just so friendly and accommodating.Lovely, lovely pub and the staff really helped us! Great night out with the girls. Good music which we danced the night away. The staff behind the bar work really hard to get everyone served as it was very busy.Did not eat but the menu look very food. Will go again

We eat at this pub quite often but our last two visits have been disappointing, first time being a weekend weâre we were not advised of a wait on food yet had at wait at-least one hour for food to come out, if we had known such a wait was to be expected weâd have gone elsewhere as we had to get home for other arrangements. The second time was this evening where me and my sister witnessed a member of staff who was poorly and visibly gagging at the bar then we over heard other staff members talking about her going home only for her to then come from the toilet and go back to the bar serving. This really put me off my food of which my partner mostly help me finish so I left still as Hungry as I walked in. Obviously illness canât be helped but she should really have gone home or to a staff room not back to the bar to serve.
