Popped in here today for the first time after walking over the Erskine Bridge with our adopted dog (looking after MIL dog for a few weeks) and have to say I was really impressed!!! Lovely food and great service and I loved how they were so welcoming to our wee doggies ......... fresh bowl of water brought over for our Molly with some wee dog treats too, lovely touch!! We ate in the bar area (where dogs are permitted) but full menu available. Food is freshly made to order and I was impressed with the service of food, not rushed at all ~ very relaxed but prompt service. Recently visited after hearing about the new menu and offers available. Some food was ok, nacho were awful, soggy and tasteless. Worst was the drinks prices, defo will be drinki bt tap water if i go back. Wine was so over priced compared with other local places. I would expect to pay £20 with a nice meal in glasgow. But way over priced considering the menu and decor. Kitchen paper on a roll on the table instead of paper towels, felt so cheap.

Hadnât been to the Counting House for quite some time and forgot how good the food is. Over the past few weeks have been several times. The menu two for £10.99 mon-thurs has much more variety to choose from. Iâve had the chicken, bacon and leek pie, delicious and also the steak and ale pie, simple delicious. Other members of my family love the fajitas (chicken & steak) absolutely mouthwatering. One member of the family needs her meals to be gluten free and The Counting House has a separate vegetarian and gluten free menu. In the gluten free there is not a lot to choose from but she was more than impressed with the presentation and how tasty her meal was. So impressed was she we went back two weeks in a row. The desserts are scrumptious too. Value for money 10/10Variety on Two for £10.99 10/10Presentation 10/10Food 10/10Staff 10/10 canât do enough for you. So pleasant and very attentive. This is pub grub at its best.Adnerbr, we are so happy to read such a great review, our team works very hard to make sure every visit is the best it can be! We ate here as a party of two while staying at the Premier Inn next door, we purchased the meal deal through the hotel and found this to be excellent value for money. We had a 2 course meal with a drink then breakfast in the morning. The food was served quickly and was piping hot and presented well and tasted very good. There is plenty to choose from on the menu to suit most people. Breakfast in the morning was again very varied and plentiful. The staff were all friendly and helpful and always on had if you needed them. Would definitely eat here again if in the area.

Friendly welcome as soon as we came in the door. Nice cosy surroundings and delicious food efficiently served. Reasonable prices. Had heard good reports about this place and it didn't fail to please three hungry golfers. We will certainly be back and look forward to our next visit. Full marks to our server.

Some friends and I had dinner together here recently. Perfect meeting point for us at this cosy bar. We had a range of dishes between us such as Chicken Enchilada, Chicken Supreme (their version) and Nachos as a main. Soooo good, each dish was super tasty! Friendly service and great prices, we will be back again.

First visit and it wonât be the last . Beautiful surroundings and a great menu. Sunday lunch was just gorgeous and the apple crumble finished it off perfectly. I honestly couldnât fault this restaurant. The lady looking after us was an absolute superstar. Her name was Mary and she really made us feel welcome . Reasonably priced too . We booked a table as we saw that they advertised a Sunday roast. OMG, what a roast. We have the Trio of meat. Beef, Turkey and Pork Belly. The photos do not do it justice. We also got a big bowl of roasted vegetables and ordered a side of Cauliflower Cheese. Not that we were hungry afterwards but we had to order dessert. Sticky Toffee Pudding and Marmalade Bread and Butter Pudding. We WILL be back.
