The wine was ok but expensive for the quality. House red was musty. My spaghetti Bolognese was bulk standard, rather too much of it but nicely al dente. My partnerâs pizza was awful. âRoast peppersâ were two big strips of barely warm pepper. âCaramelised onionâ was oversweet marmalade. Two big chunks of dry flavourless chewy chicken. We wouldnât have chosen to come to a chain restaurant but couldnât find anywhere else. We thought at least the basics would be ok. Not so.On the plus side, the building is beautiful but I donât think the restaurant be there for long. Service was friendly even when we complained but we were still charged for everything.

Weâve been coming here for over 30 years and it never fails to please. The lunchtime special of half a âpiccolo mondoâ pizza with salad is very good value and relatively slimming. (I estimate around 340 calories!). Service is friendly and efficient. Plus free sweets to take away as you leave! What more do you need?

This place is a gem. Really excellent pizzas and burgers and you can choose your own toppings from a long list of ingredients. Lovely friendly service. Unbelievably we were the only people in at Saturday lunchtime, this place really deserves to be full.Glad you enjoyed dbp18, hopefully we will be one day
