This is our Go To place on Sunday afternoons, for both good service, and good food. They always remember our name and are always willing to accommodate us, as we normally have children with us. The staff is always friendly and always helpful, and are willing to go out of their way to make you feel at home. The have the best fried calamari and our kids love the fusilli pasta and pizza. The also have a range of fish and seafood to take care of everyone's palate at the table. Right on the main street in Avellino and a for sure stop for fine dining or Sunday Lunch.

I have now eaten at this place twice and my daughter the same. I have had pizza twice and my daughter pizza and items from the kitchen menue. To say that the pizza was good is amassive understatement, it is not good it is excellent. The dough is proven for 36 / 50 hours and is light as a feather, topped with quality products and the time of cooking is perfection / we have pizzas traditionally prepared and those also out of the box / that is inventive pizzas made with the authenticity of old school neapolitan style but with a twist in the ingredientsmy daughter has had the house starter for one, enough for 3 and was made up of the most delicious fried finger foods, cheese and cured hams as well as vegetable tasters served in jars and beautiful plates.she also had sides and a plate of e3 way meat / sausages, veal and lambthe wine is excellent and both the red and the white are localeach time we have been we have been billed accurately and honestly and the prices are excellenti would recommend this pizzeria ristorante to anyone who wants excellent service, excellent prices, most of all great food.we will become regulars i am surethank you rita and gennaro from santo stefano del sole, avellino

My cousin is a local and this warm cozy haven is a favourite. The extremely cordial owner served us himself. We had excellent pizza and my children tried two of the great steaks. The fillet with Parmesan and rocket in particular was out of this world. The owner kindly offered us massive complimentary grappas after the meal and the place was filled with happy locals. Great

We came in just to take a look at the menu. After a look we immediatly had to sit down. The chef came out of the kitchen and let me take a look at the swordfish that just came in. After he cut it he came back to let me take a look at how fresh and good the product was. The bread was very good, turns out the other Guy here baked it himself. The ambiance in this place is great...the Italian people know this but the tourist not really yet i guess. I highly recommend this place if you want to have a real Italian dinner. Best dinner i had whole holiday!!!!If you stand infront of the restaurant (in a backstreet) the first impression in this case is not the best one...go inside and order, you wil be happy!!!!

Lunch at Daniele Gourmet was a superb dining experience. The first three fish courses were were cooked to perfection, followed by a gourmet pizza with four different toppings which were amazing. Lastly was dessert, a deconstructed Tiramisu which was heavenly. I plan to bring my family here next year when I return to visit.Carla (South Australia)

Spent an afternoon in Avellino & enjoyed lunch at Erreclub. We had a variety of pizza & sandwiches which were all delicious. The place was full of locals & all menus were in Italian. When traveling we strive to eat where the locals eat. The prices were more than reasonable & the beer & wine were wonderful as usual. Would highly recommend if you find yourself in Avellino.

Dear all, Avellino as a city is full of pizzerias,and many are very good,indeed. But Il Testone is a lot over the average. The superb 'impasto' , light,crispy in the right way,soooo tasty and inequivocably 'made in Neaples', with real exceptional ingredients, juicy mozzarella, normal or buffalo( what I strongly recommend),the fantasy in different tastes,all this and more,makes this place a must...each time I get back to Avelkino,I can't miss this place,the gentleness of his people and of the special couple who is running thisplace. But..pizza is just the beginning, not to mention the fried polpettine(meatballs) and many but so many delicate tastes, typical fron the Napoletana tradition. Closing with a special dessert accompained by a typical limongello or one of the several 'amari' full of herbs and misterious tastes. Ah,don't forget the local wines or many special beers which will accompaign your meal...

We ate at this restaurant last night and everything was great! The appetizers were delicious. For dinner I had the pasta with pumpkin sauce and cod. It was so fresh! Probably the best cod I've had since I have been in Italy. We had a bottle of wine, which was also great. Dessert we had rum cake and cheesecake. Ambiance is great and the little wood stove makes it very cozy. We will definitely be back.
