This little café is just awesome. The service is fantastic, but the FOOD!! OMG - for the 1st time I can say that it tastes like homemade deliciousness. And on the south shore - no traffc/bridges/detours/construction/parking meters to fight with. From now on this will be my go to place....better than vegan places in Montreal - THANK YOU FOR FOR THE WONDERFUL FOOD AND EXPERIENCE - I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK

Simo, the young owner of this little Lebanese restaurant in the small town of St Hyacinthe, is justifiably proud of Le Saphir's cleanliness. There is an abundance of restaurants nearby but if you like simplicity with friendly service this would be a good choice. You can order one of several variations of Quebec's specialty "poutine" (french fries covered with cheese and drowned in gravy) or traditional Lebanese food. Each option comes with a choice of three or four fresh salads.Simo is energetic, friendly and keen for his customers to be satisfied. That goal is easily reached -- just try his garlic potatoes for example.Warning: the food is very filling.

This place beats all the other shish taouk place in town. The salads are excellent. The owner's mother does the ratatouille and it is delicious. Ambiance: You feel like you are going to your aunt's place to eat her delicious meal. The only real downside: the parking can be a problem: you may have to park a couple of blocks away. On the other hand, it's really close to the Juliette Lassonde venue and all the St-Hyacinthe downtown.

Had the mix plate - chicken and beef, no rice is a healthy option, lots of salad veggies including humus. Super garlicky sauce was great and tasty! Will be back.
