Visited this restaurant as had been on two previous occasions whilst staying nearby, however I doubt we shall return again as we were disappointed. They didnât have the pork Slovaki which seemed strange, the fish salad we had to start was very poor compared to previous ones we had whilst in Santorini.That said the service was good, but it wouldnât be enough to bring us back

We dinned at Throubi restaurant in the early days of September after seeing photos on the Andronis Exclusive Website.The hotel is spectacular with great architecture. The restaurant could not be an exception to the whole concept. The greeting at the reception was exemplary, all staff smiling.A lady accompanied us to the restaurant.Arriving at the restaurant one can see on their left a magnificent red wine showcase.After that;The ultimate blue! The restaurant is literally on the Caldera, with a pool in the front side but the best thing about it is that it is secluded from the crowded Oia.For starters we chose beef tartare and scallops and for main course pastitsada and beef. The dishes were always served with a smile and in a very professional way.I would also like to pinpoint the sommelier team, which urged us to do premium wine pairing. The wines we tasted were expuisite. The pairing's "concept" was a "battle" between Greek and foreign wines.For dessert we picked lemon tarte with mountain tea. Tuesday evening no booking - no trouble says the super friendly owner. Given a seat outside for ten mins and then led to a table inside. Staff very attentive and happy to talk through the menu and ensure we were cared for. I should say the restaurant was full and the staff were extremely busy but they made time for everyone and never appeared rushed or under pressure. The same must also be said of the kitchen staff who despite being busy for several hours turned out very very tasty food. We shared Saganki cheese, a Santorini salad and Pork Gyros and a bottle of wine. All very tasty and all very reasonably priced. As I mentioned the staff coped well with the biz and even stopped for a chat about the season as things quitened down. All in all great food and great staff. Had we been staying for longer we would have eaten here again.Thank you Crossman for your kind words and feedback. Vigla team greatly appreciate and will be improving ever since we started!

Great modern restaurant with an option to sit on the terrace or inside the cave- great unique cocktail menu or wide range of wines. Freshly cooked pizzas and tasty starters (we had nachos and bruschetta)- beware the portions are huge, especially the nachos! Pizzas were fresh- almost too much cheese though as sometimes you struggled to taste the other ingredients. Though a nice alternative from some of the other restaurants in the local area.

Views from this restaurant are unmatched. It's off the beaten path, so you are away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds. The food is absolutely fantastic. The service was quite, professional, and friendly. The cocktails are handcrafted and delicious. I would not miss this restaurant. 5 stars all around!

We had the seasonal tasting menu and flight of wines which was simply delicious. Special mention to the langoustine course that blew us away! There was so many courses and flavours and the service was impeccable. Definitely a must-do if you enjoy fine dining. We booked a front row seat to watch the sunset, then moved inside when it became cooler.

We booked the meal months before our holiday began to ensure we had the best table in the house. We were greeted warmly by the pleasant receptionist and escorted to the dining area. Our table had been reserved and was indeed the best available. The views from the restaurant are amazing. We timed our visit to coincide with the sun setting ... and it was stunningly perfect. The heaters were welcome when the temperature dropped and the lighting was well thought out.The staff were attentive without being intrusive and were all so friendly and professional. First let me say that Oia is one of the busiest hussle places we have ever visited. Trying to find peace and quiet in the evening is a real challenge. We were guests at Esperas and checked out many of the top rated dinner places, with good success. Except evenings in Oia are madness with the sunset crowds! So we decided to just "stay in" for the night and dine at Ombra. Best decision we made during our visit to Oia. Excellent food, exceptional service, and I might add: the best view of the Oia sunset. It is a small place and you need a reservation. If you stay at Esperas, it is a no brainer. For non-guests, it is worth the walk and the stairs!Thank you very much for your review and for the welcome comparison. It is always great to come out on top when compared to rival establishments, especially when coming from true guests. We very much appreciate your real review and your business.

This is a very small restaurant, I would estimate around 30 person capacity. The first thing we noticed was how attentive the servers were. They checked up on us throughout our meal, refilling drinks and cleaning off our table between courses, and always checking to make sure we enjoyed everything. The menu was a modern take on traditional Greek cuisine. We really enjoyed the mussels appetizer, which was served in a tomato and feta based sauce similar to a mussels saganaki. The difference here was the flair of the dish being served on a flaming dish with a mint jelly on a spoon to pour over the mussels. Absolutely delicious. We also had their bread which tasted fresh and was served with a creamy feta and red pepper dipping sauce which was a great complement to the mussels.We had a spaghetti with prawns and rack of lamb for our main courses. Both of the dishes were plated stylishly and were rich and full of flavor. We had a chocolate souffle for dessert that turned heads at other tables when it was served with a red wine goblet steaming with dry ice that seemed designed to Instagram.We were so pleased with our dinner and the service that we made reservations for the next night as well. Our servers even introduced us to the chef!
