Demetri is one of the best hosts you could hope for. Always able to spend time with you and helpful if you are not sure what things are. Ask for the fried cheese with honey & sesame seeds (delightful). Good choice of food and wine at very reasonable prices. The desserts are to die for so leave room for them.

We booked a dinner here hoping for a romantic dinner but we were very much dissapointed with the food quality and small portions. It was obvious that this place runs only on the view - as the food was mediocre, the "fusion" combinations were just weird and the portions were tiny, at the very least. For the price we were paying, we at least wanted to get full or enjoy a superior quality meal but got neither

Great value, must be the cheapest meal we had on Santorini - the gyros was very tasty! Would recommend for casual dinner and typical Greek taverna experience.

Ate here twice and on both occasions our party of 6 were generally pleased with their choices. The lamb shank could have done with more jus but there was ample meat and we also had the pork steak, chicken and pork shank, all excellent. The starters were huge and the pork in mustard particularly tasty.
It was busy both nights we visited, the second night we booked although the first we were accommodated quite quickly, mind it was end of season. Prompt friendly service and very reasonable prices for both food and drinks. Would highly recommend.

We had a lovely table overlooking the Caldera. The day was a bit cloudy so we didn't get a spectacular sunset, and it did get a little chilly around 7.30. However this did not detract from the wonderful experience of dining here. Apart from the great view, the service was exceptional and the food superb.
Definitely recommend the lamb dish but I really feel you wouldn't go wrong with any selection. Great wine too.
Sure hope to return one day

We were doubtful in trying a savoury ( not sweet) crepe as we had always seen sweet crepes. So we ordered one. Feta cheese, olives, onion, capsicum, mayonnaise. It was amazing and we had to order another one as we could not resist the craving.
The chef was amazing as well.

I spent 3 weeks in Greece, and the food was excellent everywhere I went. So much so, that I’m too embarrassed to admit how much weight I gained, but let’s just say it was more than you typically gain on an average cruise.
The Avacado Restaurant is a small quaint little restaurant at the top of the hillside in Thira. Unfortunately there really is no view like many of the restaurants, but what it’s missing in views it makes up for in food and friendly service.
Of all the restaurants all over Greece, no restaurant I ate at had a better Moussaka. This was an experience beyond comfort food in a small little mom& pop restaurant. It is the one place to go when you want to eat a truly home cooked meal and feel like part of the family no matter how far away home is.

We tried the traditional lukumades and they were very good and tasty, but i thought a bit expensive. I would suggest trying the stuffed ones also as they seemed delicious but unfortunately we couldn't try it.

don't be confused by the crowds... food so-so... personal very unfriendly. got the big falafel and it had more sauce than salad, when i asked about a bit more on top the guy reacted very unfriendly and refused...Hi Mathias, we regret to hear that!
