I had just landed from NYC and wanted a casual meal... I was staying at Le Châtelain Hotel and wanted a neighborhood type of place!I had the ladsgna and it was absolutely the best I ever had... the staff was so nice and the ambiance was as well.Definitely will go back again during my trip!

Very welcoming restaurant in Ixelles with excellent food and atmosphere, great service and flexibility. We organised a group dinner for approximately 20 people and we must say it is very difficult to find such a welcoming and flexible treatment anywhere else in Brussels. We will certaintly try it again.

The restaurant is beautiful. The food is amazing. The owner and the waiters are very kind and helpful. The owner offered us two desserts and mint tea because it was my sister's birthday. Very kind! This restaurant was perhaps the most pleasant surprise we had in Brussels, having been invited there by friends.A comparatively nondescript front entrance opens into a welcoming oasis of elegance & comfort. A large internal seating opens out into a pleasant sit-out @ the back. The smiles all around as one passes the open plan kitchen window vouch for the warm aura of the place.We ate a variety of dishes , but I opted for the Parguit Chicken recommended by a friend & also had Aubergine Panee as one of the starters. In my opinion , this was perhaps one of the best meals I have had in a restaurant till date & definitely the Parguit Chicken was exemplary. The succulence of the marination was just right & the tender chicken had clearly been cooked by a food lover. The Aubergine Panee took me back to another world of my childhood having eaten something similar sometime down memory lane in India.Besides the food, the innate warmth of this place is its big USP .... it's a must visit kind of place

Dinner for 5 on Saturday evening. Resto was full but service was quick and attentive. The specials were mentioned and we shared some entrees - all excellent esp the aubergine caviar dish. Bread is good too. Main dishes were fine but some not too impressive. Wines are expensive but good. Seating on a bench was not good - the bench is sagging and makes for an uncomfortable time. But all in all a very nice experience and we will return.

In this hidden gem, behind what looks like another kebab junk, you'll find the cosiest moroccan couscous restaurant in town. Couscous and tajines absolutely delicious, the meat is always melting in your mouth. I've been there many times, and only today tried the chicken/raisins one, is a delight. No frill yet friendly staff, you feel this is a family well oberlooked business.

Fantastic alternative to traditional French restaurants. Met 4 business partners for dinner. The food was superb (we shared an assortment of 5 entrées and everyone ordered a different main dish... all equally delicious), the service struck a great balance between professional and familiar, the ambiance upscale cozy, and quiet enough for a business conversation. I canât wait to go back. Book a table through the travel apps for a discount off the menu price.

The Wine Club is a very interesting address in Uccle, the Southern « commune » of Brussels.Located ch de Waterloo, Fort-Jaco, it serves wines. So far no surprise Interesting wines, most of them Bio, with a lot of references below 30 â¬.I was very excited to see (and taste ) Roc de Cambes 2012, a great bottle from François Mitjaville, the Bordeaux sorcerer.At 112 â¬, it looks pricy, but when you drink it, it explodes in the glass and surpasses a lot of much more expensive 1er Cru bottles.The first surprise comes along with the food. Most of the time, wine bars serve you banal humus and cheese board. Here the greek chef prepares delicious octopussy, an incredible risotto, tuna tataki, grilled vegetables and much more.A few days later I tried the beer list, and there comes the second surprise with almost 10 different bottled beers, all rated above 95/100 on RateBeer : Orval, Bellefleur, Gillardin, Lanterne⦠youâll need a few visits to approach them all.Last but not least, you can have a god meal with 2 wine glasses for less than 30 â¬.Highly recommended !
