Given city rights in 1233, it has long been at the center of conflicts because of its strategic location on the banks of the Rhine River. The Battle of Arnhem, part of Operation Market Garden, was fought in September 1944. Advancing Allied forces, in large part due to a series of mistakes, failed to secure a key bridge and suffered defeat, delaying the Allied advance into Germany until the following spring. The 1977 movie "A Bridge Too Far" was based on the events here.

I've been here a few times now and I've always had good quality sushi for a decent price, the service was quick and the decor and atmosphere are very nice. I definitely recommend Sushi Koi over other all-you-can-eat sushi places in Arnhem like Sumo, etc.

Miyagi & Jones turned out to be one of the highlights of my weekend trip to Arnhem. A bustling place with cool art, efficient (and friendly) service and a large array of cocktails and Asian street food. Most people order the 3-course meal but if youâre a small eater or not too hungry, I suggest ordering a selection of a la carte dishes. The food was in general good, some dishes like the mackerel and spicy beef salad were better than others.A cool place for dinner, with an electric atmosphere - thereâs also a DJ playing - and colourful cocktails. Reservations recommended but you can also eat at the bar if all tables are taken.

This is your typical sushi all you can eat dinner or lunch. The service is semi okay, but not personal. The taste of the food is okay, but not special. There is a new menu: 1) the handrolls are round instead of triangle shape.2) the poke bowls are a joke on your table compare to the picutre.3) The desserts are very very small, almost to small.There are other sushi options in town for the same amounth of money. I was really amazed by this restaurant. I am in The Netherlands for almost 2 years and I had never had such a great service in a restaurant. The Netherlands is famous for the terrible service that they have at restaurants (it doesn't matter if it is a good or expensive restaurant, normally the service is too poor) and so I was very impressed by all the care and attention of all the employees at Ichiba. Another point that was really a change for what I am used to in the Netherlands was the fact that altough the restaurant was approaching the closing hour no one said nothing (normally you are "invited" to end your meal or pay your bill while approching the closing hour) and kept being friendly. The food is excellent, not only the sushi is delicious but also the warm meals. I was also impressed by the wine menu because normally at sushi restaurants you don't have many options and at Ichiba you have 3 pages with different wines. We drank a bottle of the house white wine, which was great.Another good thing is the fact that you can just park your car in front of the restaurant and if you go at dinner time (after 18h and not in shopping nights) you don't have to pay.The restaurant is very big and it offers the possibility of having a romantic dinner or a dinner with friends/family without being disturbed by the noise of other people.
