I went to this restaurant because of the really good reviews here in tripadvisorThe food gets 3 1/2 stars. The meat was cooked well but all in all it didn't blow my mind. The antipasta plate is OK, but it lacked freshness and ideasThe atmosphere gets 3 stars. Tables are placed wherever is space in restaurant. In the front, at the bar and in the back. Like a lot of restaurants here the place is basically run and managed by students.The wine gets 2 stars. To pay 27euros for a nero s'avolo with a screwtop, which comes in retail for 6 or 7 euros is not worthy a decent italian restaurant. Also most other wines served comes in a screwtop. I have no issue when white wine comes like this, but for red, no please. Also the wine tasted like 6 Euros, without body, aroma and taste. You are better off ordering beer.

Went to Cantina di David with my team, after a team bonding activity.Great sphere! Nice staff and delicious fresh food!!!! the anti-pasti was just delicious and everything was in a nice quantity, fresh ingredients to the fullest! as well as the main courses.Can't wait to go back!!!Pricey?!? A little... is it worth it??! Yesss!!!

Disapponted: after the others' review, I thought I could have some snapshots of good Italian "fast food".. but it was not the case. Not in terms of quality of bread, not in terms of quality of ingredients. Ok, it's cheap and fast, but good is another story.By the way: not accepting bank cards of any kind, not issuing a "real" receipt when asked (I need it to get the lunch reimbursed from my company), I guess they do not pay as many taxes as me (but it's only a guess).

Lovely staff/owner and fabulous food that's simple but bursting with great flavours. It's small but when the weather permits it there's a terrace outside with plenty of space. Location is very good, too.

Even if you have no urgent need, visit the men's bathroom for a unique view of Oudewater's townhall. For the remainder enjoy the excellent food at this youthful restaurant. The service is excellent, the action of the kitchen brigade can be openly observed, and they have a nice collection of wines. All at a reasonable price!
