It was a cold and windy day when we came across this gem of a restaurant in Chianti. We had the best Pasta Fagioli. My girlfriends people are Italian. She grew up in Brooklyn. She says this was the best Pasta Fagioli she ever tasted. An awesome find, you must try this place!!

The menu features a number of quality and delicious items.Plus...very good service - in fact, Daniel heard us talking about spending time at a local winery for tasting and lunch for the next day. Good thing he did because he recommended Brancaia which turned out to be fantastic. Thanks Daniel!Our group tried several different items off the menu - and everyone was quite pleased.A nice selection of wines too!

The restaurant is just off 222, on the way to Siena. Fonterutoli is a very small town but the restaurant is high quality with a nice ambiance. All the food was excellent except for the endive, which was bad. Parking is readily available off the street.

We went here based on a recommendation from another restaurant and we loved it. Our server was friendly and very helpful with our choices. Three of us had their beef stew with roast potatoes and mixed grill vegetables and it was delicious. My husband had beef with arugula and parmigiana cheese and it was cooked to perfection. The cheese cake Sonia was also very good. We ate on there patio and it was a great experience!

The setting alone will take your breath away. The quintessential Tuscan vineyard with views in every direction. But then you enter the dining room where you are warmly welcomed by an attentive staff.The menu is small but with something for everyone. We started with the baccala bruschetta and a salad mista. Both were excellent but there is something about the freshness of the salad greens and their presentation that wowed me. Or maybe it was the addition of their locally produced olive oil. Either or, both appetizers were scrumptious. My husband then ordered the boar steak and I the tagliterini with truffle sauce, each rich in flavor in its own way but again home runs. We finished with the ricotta mouse, which was to die for. And if you are into wines their selection is top notch but the prices are reasonable.Al in all from the staff to the menu and quality of food our night was perfect and we highly recommend a lovely evening at Foresteria. I was there following the rate they received. The restaurant was more than half empty , one waiter who also caters the bar nearby. All dishes served were not of good quality and were extremely disappointed.Not recommendedDear Baldwin2, We are sorry that you didnât like our food we serve from 25 years with good quality and several clients along the years we have the restaurant, but we have two separate ambience: the bar and the restaurant and we have two different waiters, one at the bar (the owner) and one/two -depending on the reservation we have- for the restaurant. Maybe you have seen wrong but this is not our fault. After a quick chatting we discovered that the waiter showed you were is the bar where our guests usually go to pay. What a great Italian "bistro"... An excellent place to taste local Tuscan food (and wine!!!). Combines everything: food, service, ambiance, value! One of our most enjoyable dinners in Tuscany. I do stress the "bistro" level... don't expect fine dining...:) Bravo guys!

One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The food was stunning and the chef's were so accommodating (we went at lunch time and they even made wine-free Bolognese for the kids, though overall not really a family restaurant). The restaurant is gorgeous with a wonderful view over the hills. The stony walls have open on both sides with a bit of a wind tunnel effect so it's lovely and cool. Rows of carafes and classic art line the walls. If I go back to this part of Chianti I will make it my first stop.

We have the great opportunity to travel quite a bit â this just jumped to our number one culinary/ dining experience. We were staying in Florence and took a brief car trip south to tour the area. Itâs off the beaten path but google maps got us there. The Inn fits right into a picture postcard. The service is very friendly and attentive. The food is just EXCEPTIONAL. The chef (Guido) can over to our table and he mirrors the engaging atmosphere of the Inn We were 2 couples and we all had different dishes - all were great. Had an awesome Lunch & Wine Tasting experience at Tenuta Torciano. Our second visit in three years and introduced our family to this experience on our trip this year. Had a fantastic time with Sommelier Marco.
