Owenmore Restaurant

Dinner at the Owenmore restaurant and the sister pub are both outstanding. The formal restaurant was one of our highlight meals over a two-week trip. Everything was local where possible with the oysters coming from across the street of our waiter’s house. Every dish was outstanding including the beef tenderloin and the array of deserts and cheeses.

Eldon’s Restaurant

We had a superb meal here and were served by the very attentive Maggie, she was the only person serving and looking after the restaurant customers that evening but It was not a problem as there was only 9 people in that evening. We thought that the atmosphere was a little staid and stuffy ,but saying that it seemed to suit the older more sophisticated customers that were in that evening. The food is very good and the portions are huge. The wine and service were good but the lack of atmosphere made me give 4 out of 5 points. However Maggie our lovely Irish server that evening deserved 10 / 10. Thank you.

We enjoyed dinner at Beola on a Thursday night whilst touring Ireland and were not disappointed. Local muscles for starters and fish for my main while my wife had the steak. All dishes were presented well and tasted delicious! Service was efficient and friendly. Not many restaurants in town so bookings are pretty much essential in order to get a table. Thank you very much for you kind remarks which have been passed on to all the staff .Your feedback help us to ensure our services are to the standard required .Thanks again we look forward to welcoming you back in the near future . Desperate for some lunch we pulled up to this pub with fairly low expectations because it really doesn't look much from the outside. However, we received a warm welcome & the menu looked good. Two of our party ordered fish & chips & my son ordered a burger while I went for the smoked salmon salad. While we waited we all enjoyed a fabulous pint of Guinness, so good.As I had a cousin living somewhere in Carna I asked behind the bar if they knew her, amazingly her son was working there in the bar - what a coincidence! The food came out & it was amazing, so fresh, tasty & beautifully presented. Whoever's in the kitchen they do a great job. My salmon salad was probably my favourite meal of the trip.So if you're in Carna do yourself a favour & call in here & have a meal.
