Many places say they are a beach front restaurant. Orewa Surf Club is on the beach; water side and has breathtaking views of the surf rolling in.There is indoor and outdoor seating. My recommendation would be try and get a table on the second floor outside. Plenty of parking in the lot in front of the restaurant.Orewa Surf Club is a place you can take the whole family. The menu is not just burgers and chips. There are items for little hands and items to order for more hearty appetites. The wait staff was attentive and quite busy moving between the two floors and inside and outside tables. There is a nice assortment of libations and snacking items too. Get a few items like the wings and nachos and share with a group. The great thing about this location is you can’t get much closer to the water, so nibble on a few things and go walk on the beach or play in the surf. Enjoy!

We had a very tasty quality meal. (Fish dish). Quite delicious! Our young server was congenial and enthusiastic, but either new or poorly trained in understanding what was available and how dishes were prepared. Each query was met with “let me find that out for you”. Menu items online did not match with menu items available in restaurant. Of note, website was malfunctioning (design his key items like the first half of words or phone numbers on both my tablet and PC....and then would not take our online reservation)and phone number on website was not working. We elected to drop by and we’re seated easily. Menu was Gluten-friendly.
