This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem! Food was authentic German & simply amazing. Family that owes and runs restaurant were VERY friendly. Meals are large portions, left feeling full.Highly recommend, donât pass this one up.

Waren gestern mal wieder in der alten Schmiede. Urige Lokalität und m.M. auch gemütlich eingerichtet. Hatten die Balkanplatte für 2. Da ist alles drauf was man sich wünscht. Wie immer hat es uns super geschmeckt, es gibt nichts zu meckern.Der Service war auch einwandfrei, absolut freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell!

We've been twice and the second time was even better than the first. The restaurant is comfortable, light & airy. You can watch the barges go by on the Main. The service for us is good & friendly, apparently not for everybody if you believe the reviews. Wine & beer are good. The food is good. The meats are well cooked and of high quality. You need to work through the menu to determine what it is you like. The deserts are very good. If we were to criticise at all it would be that the starters don't match what comes after. Is it expensive? It's not cheap, but we frequent restaurants who ask much more. The reviewers who seem to expect wagyu beef for a low price might need to adjust their expectations to reality.

Sehr schöner(Biergarten) eher Ãpplergarten mit selbstgemachten Stöffchen, lecker kleine Speisen, Hofladen mit dabei, sehr zu empfehlen für Familien mit kleinen Kindern, Selbst-Bedienung, fühlen uns hier immer sehr wohl!

Das Ambiente ist ok, für ein Bürgerhaus Recht hübsch. Das Personal ist sehr nett und aufmerksam. Wir hatten verschiedene Fleischgerichte die alle sehr lecker waren. Zu den Fleischgerichten gab es Salat der auch gut war. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist super, hier kann man durchaus öfter essen gehen, wenn der Fleischhunger treibt.
