Very special restaurant close to the downtown. The second restaurant in Hungary where handicapped people are working. The venue is just perfect, old school style. The food is homemade quality and very tasty. Ala carte is not possible, there is only a daily menu containing usually 2 soups and 3 main courses. The prices are modest, the service is just perfect. I can just recommend the venue!

The restaurant is in the Magyar Király hotel building, probably that's why it is not listed alone at Tripadvisor. Its location is excellent, at the end of the main pedestrian street of Székesfehérvár, near the theatre. The restaurant was totally rebuilt 2-3 year ago, together with the hotel, and has a nice design and atmosphere. Since it is a bistro type restaurant, the food selection is not very wide, but the food is very tasty for affordable prices. Just a suggestion: if you wish to have a light and inexpensive lunch, choose the daily menu of two or three courses. The service is quick and good, some waiters can speak English as well.

Food was awful and way overpriced.I had lunch for 4200 Huf (roughly 20 dollars) and the chef clearly saw no problem in using the samy oil for everything. My fried chicken tasted like everything, but chichen.

Working in town with a big group of colleagues so needed somewhere that could cope with nearly 30 people.Rang around and here wasn't phased.Lovely meals for all, group platters were awesome as were the salads.Loads of choice, fresh food and cold beer.Only let down was the restaurant was very hot, need to invest in Air Con when the weather is over 40degrees

very well positioned, very cosy and comfortable, quick, friendly& patient staff, clean and classy, food was delicious: wild boar with noodles, goose, kids menus and above all amazing spicy catfish soup!

Highly recommended restaurant with tasty, traditional European food. Really large portions with affordable prices. The staff are friendly, and the place is suitable for families. My only complaint would be, that unfortunately smoking is allowed at the outside tables, which could ruin your summer time lunch or dinner.

It was one of the nicest meal we had in Hungary. Amazing unique choice of traditional hungarian food with fantastic twists. The place has quite rustic decoration and good old fashioned feeling to it. GReat food!! Highly recommend it!!!!!

Had a positive experience where the food is concerned but be aware that drinks are priced in a deceptive way. This is not the only restaurant in Hungary we've come across that practices this to be fair though. Basically the prices indicated are per 'dl' and they appear to be reasonable. I now know however that 'dl' means 10cl. Nobody actually has a drink that small so the actual price, of a glass of wine for example, is double the advertised price. Believe me after a couple of drinks over dinner your bill ends up very different to what you expect it to be. In our case HUF4000 more than we'd anticipated. I would much rather the restaurant published the cost of a real drink in the first place. That way you can at least make an informed decision.
