Sorry to say the paintings and decor were more interesting than the food. Watching customers use the salad bar emphasised what another reviewer said about small plates.The main dishes were full plates of food but lacked any finesse, they were served before we finished our appetisers and there was no need to rush as we were the only people eating at that point. Only 8 diners in a large room at that point in the evening. Both our choices of red wine were unavailable and we had to settle for a poor white instead

So we decided to leave La Fortuna a little early due to the heavy downpour and the probability of heavier traffic but didn't consider that we had no idea that we would be ready to eat by the time we reached San Ramon.As luck would have it, we saw that several others had apparently been in a similar situation and we decided to stop and give Chepes a try.We drove by without stopping the first time because it looked closed. Thankfully, we went around the block and this time we got out to check - turns out the restaurant was open but because they didn't have any customers, they had turned the lights out!Glad we stopped because this ended up being one of our favorite meals from the trip. We had a farm burger, chicken caprese and a cajun shrimp dish. All cooked to perfection with just the right amount of spice.Our server was very helpful and her suggestions were perfect! Super clean dining room and restrooms and the prices are very reasonable!We'll stop in San Ramon for Chepes again!

El Balcon is a fun place to come sit on the porch and watch the world go by. They offer a wide range of sandwichs and many good German dishes like schnitzel and spicey sausages. Also if you have a sweet tooth they have many pasteries and ice cream offerings including chocolate iced mocha along with sundaes and many fun desserts. They make their own breads daily and are always busy. Note that they do close at 6pm.

Came here with a large group of students. Staff was accommodating to both vegetarian and gluten free needs. Food was delicious, smoothies where amazing and dessert was even better! It is a pleasure for us to serve you, thank you for choosing us, we hope to see you soon.

Nous voulions nous arrêter rapidement dans Sarchi et sommes tombés sur ce restaurant par hasard. Il ne paye pas de mine mais l'accueil était très sympathique et le repas bon et rapide. Excellent rapport qualité/prix en somme. La carte propose plutôt des plats simples, de restauration rapide, mais c'était bon et ça correspondait à nos attentes.

Located in the mountains northwest of Costa Rica`s Central Valley this secluded restaurant offers a great "must-stop" location on your way to or from Bajos del Toro. The place offers great typical Costa Rican cuisine, very good service and an incredible view of the valley.
