Dwingerloo has quite a few attractive looking restaurants, but we choose this one due to its location over looking the Brink (which is a bit like a village green). This turned out to be a good choice. Its a pleasant grand cafe, with friendly staff. We had the selection of seafood starters, which turned out to be a good choice. Excellent quality and not expensive.

Restaurant Riete is located in centre of Dwingeloo. The village is a hidden gem. The restaurant offers lunch, tapas and dinner. Beers & drinks and common good Dutch food define its character.The café-restaurant is open 6 days a week from 11am to 21pm. Furnishings and decoration provides an easy-going café atmosphere. Service is friendly and adequate.We came on a weekday afternoon and the restaurant was quiet. We went for ham & eggs sandwiches. We were not disappointed. The egg sandwich was tasty and well presented.We recommend Restaurant Riete to anyone who seeks easy food and a good glass in a relaxed rural ambiance.

This is my family's favorite restaurant. Both for special occasions and for the times when we just want to spend an evening to enjoy a wonderful dinner experience.The surprise menu prepared by chef Herco is always a culinary delight.The service with a personal touch offered by Cynthia and her staff could not be better. Strongly recommended.

Good restaurant with very good service, wel presented. Good menu choice and affordable prices.Quite large portions. The staff is always friendly and polite. They serve till about 10 .30 in the eavening so you can easely choose the time you like to eat.

We sat on the patio, lovely atmosphere. I had baked herb crusted fish with soba noodles and vegetables in a lovely broth, so good. My husband had the tournados of beef, so tender and flavorful. There were community bowls of vegetables, well prepared. The desserts were so good, I had white chocolate mousse with raspberries and a sorbet. Beautifully presented. Our guests had cheesecake, which was small, but accompanied by chocolate covered nuts and other items, but not as nice as mine. I would highly recommend if you are in this area to treat yourself.

we have eaten here several times, between 46 and 50 euros for 2 people, unlimited eating and drinking.cold starters, soups, bread, hot buffet, dessert buffet, ice cream buffet, tepanyaki and wok cooking, choose your meat or fish, sauce, veg etc and they cook it for you, good quality, very nice, good selection of beers, house wine, juices all included.cannot go wrong, because there is something for everyone.

It's a camping. Clean, organized, quiet, well kept.They have some classic old cottages, for a traditional Dutch vacation home.Go here if you are not looking to be entertained.Midgetgolf is as good as it gets.

At the recommendation of the proprietors of the gorgeous de Heerlijkheid B&B in Ruinerwold, we eat at The Olde Posthus on Saturday night, 27April 2019. A warm welcome from the chef/proprietor of 25 years was matched by the appropriate and happy attention by the two young ladies who served us. Their English was so much better than our Dutch and their willingness to find out those odd words they didn't know was done cheerily.The food was very tasty, excellent portions and great ingredients. Some may prefer more highly flavoured dishes but the asparagus soup was perfect as was the delicately flavoured veal. Beware of the surprise deserts - after starter and desert we were challenged to do justice to the fresh desert - though we manfully rose to the challenge.The small wine list provided us with the gentle Malbec that was an appropriate accompaniment to the veal.A fabulous setting and gorgeous period house with space between the tables allowing a feel of privacy all add to the appeal of the evening.Will certainly return if we can find ourselves in that part of the country again.
