We had dinner here at the recommendation of our tour guide after she was unable to get a reservation at her first choice. We were delighted with the ambience and decor. Charming dining room with warm lighting and decor. Excellent view of the ocean and neighbourhood of Havana. The menu offers authentic typical Cuban dishes. We both chose fresh fish in different sauces. The red snapper was delicious and cooked perfectly. Served with sides that included the best black beans we had in Cuba, fresh side salad and plantain chips. Service was professional and polite. Only negatives were the use of a grey trolley to bring out dishes and remove plates. As well, no wine list with prices??? You are asked to choose a bottle off the wine rack. A little inconvenient. Anyone who might have told you that you will not find great food in Cuba obviously never ate at Otramanera (and many other paladars as well). It's in Miramar somewhat out of the main part of the city but easily reached by taxi. Its clean modern design would be at home in San Francisco or New York, though the tables there would be closer together. The food is outstanding - arguably the best we had in Havana. If I lived in Havana, I would eat here every week. Great drinks too. Seek it out and Enjoy!

They have now added tables out on the "sidewalk". Adding a whole new dimension. Everything I have said previously still stands. The food is consistently good. The post chops are to die for, and in a country that lives off pork that is really saying something.The staff is attentive and polite. Overall, a great place to duck in to and recuperate after tiring yourself out walking around old havana. Ask them to make you a pork chop sandwich. With sautéed onions... amazing. Off menu and you may have to explain twice what you want but damn... one of my favourite lunches in Havana.Amir:We are very pleased that you enjoyed your experience at San Ignacio 214. We stopped here on a whim while traversing the area and were really glad we did. We ordered eggs, sandwiches, an appetizer and coffee and now that I'm seeing the pics others have posted, I'm regretting we didn't come back here for dinner. One block away from La Boeguita del Medio, and flight up, we stumbled upon this place when we ran into a waiter on the street. We sat outdoors on the terrace and were able to relax. The service was impeccable, with excellent recommendations. One of my favorite mojitos in cuba, it can with a fresh sugar cane. We had a seafood tower that was recommended by our waiter, which was unique and delicious. The place is clean and the staff is friendly - we met guillermo, oscar, yuri, leo and julin. We would definitely return.Thank you for visiting us!It is very good to know that you enjoyed the stay, the service, the food and the cocktails.Is there anything we could improve, according to your experience? Having down a bit of quick research 5 Sentidos was not highly rated on Trip Adviser but was very close to where we stayed. The service throughout was absolutely outstanding. The restaurant inside was very clean, tidy and trendy. Had a great menu with some great entrees. In hind sight we should have shared a larger number of entrees and not had mains. In saying that everything was beautifully cooked and tasted incredible. Great drink menu too. Very pleasing dinner date.

Stayed in the neighborhood for 4 days and ate here three times. Fresh, good quality natural ingredients and very tasty. The chef really cares about the food he makes and your opinion matters to him. Clean, bright room overlooking the sea.

This place is so great .. food is excellent .. tasty hot fresh ingredients .. I opted for the hamburger because I needed something non Cuban for a change .. tasted amazing.. came with green banana chips .. washed down with a lemonade to start and then an almighty rocket powered mojito.The staff here are really friendly .. service is excellent .. quick service .. and they even have a way for you to connect to the internet .. costs 1 cuc but it works brilliantly. Leave the hot steamy streets for a while and park yourselves here for a breakfast lunch or dinner (or all three!) and cool off in the air conditioning.A real find .. leaving Havana tomorrow but definitely coming back and definitely coming back here ! Fantastic .. loved it !
