Reviews on Indian food in Braunschweig, Lower Saxony, Germany. Also known as Brunswick, Braunschweig is, at about 250,000 people, the largest city between Hannover and Berlin. Many of Braunschweig's most historic buildings surround the city center Burgplatz (Castle Square), including the 12th-century Braunschweiger Dom (Brunswick Cathedral), burial place of the famed Henry the Lion, powerful early Duke of Saxony. Henry's rebuilt castle, Burg Dankwarderode, is also on the Burgplatz and is now a museum. The Old City Market is another popular visitor spot.

I called in an order for take away in March 2017. Despite not having a menu, the server on the phone was very helpful in recommending dishes. I ordered naan, cucumber yogurt sauce, Mutton Vindaloo and Vegetable Vindaloo. The order was ready when I arrived and it was still hot when I got home. The order was well packaged, and the Food was delicious! Both Vindaloos were very spicy, which I requested. The garlic naan was flavorful without being too greasy. I strongly recommend this Restaurant!

We had an Indian guest at work and he recommend this restaurant. I´ve been here three times and have been very pleased each time.Portions are large, so the menus tend to be a bit too much food. But it is all so tasty!!!More authentic / less "Germanised" than Ghandi.

Good Indian food. Unusual in that it will serve most dishes cooked in three degrees of "spicyness". And then bring "curry paste" to the table in case you want to spice up your plate. As far as I could tell, real spices were mixed in house for the dishes. Has recently expanded, so more seats available now!

ordered some "never-can-go-wrong" dishes like chicken tikka, Paneer( cottage cheese) do pyaza and shahi Chicken.Out of that for two we ordered with normal chilly and for Paneer(which is generally bland), we asked for Indian chilly. Indian food is generally spicy which means it has spices such as coriander, ginger, garlic, turmeric, cumin etc mixed in different quantities to generate a typical taste of the dish but to our surprise, this paneer( which was tofu here) dish was just absolutely plain chilly nothing else..it had no taste at all. Other two dishes were average and this place being in mall is comparatively expensive for the food and decor it offers. Normally all Indian restaurants offer at least Papad(/dam) with chutneys as complimentary starter but this one had none. Service was just Ok would have been better if there was good foreword about the chilly-ness being not at all Indian. cos I love Indian food, crave for it all the time but if you name me this restaurant..i can still feel the chilly in my mouth and won't ever want to go back.
