We arrived without a reservation and were warmly greeted and seated on the patio.Following a speedy drink service, our orders ( main courses only) were taken promptly. It was almost a hour before our meals arrived. The patient, young hard working staff advised that they were very busy and were unfortunately understaffed in the kitchen.All of dishes ordered were delicious, and arrived perfectly cooked and served with generous helpings of vegetables and garnish. While the bill was on the high side, we believe we received excellent value for money.Highly recommended

This is the place to go, when you are hungry and thirsty and really want to dig-in. I am just getting hungry again thinking of their menu. It pays off to be early enough, so the 'specials', mostly fish-of-the-day, are still available. It is also recommended to reserve a table.

Keine grosse Kochkunst, aber ehrliche Hausmannskost aus der Region zu sehr günstigen Preisen. Netter Service, aufmerksam und schnell. Hier wird einfach gekocht, aber völlig ok. Ich würde wieder hingehen.Habe auch nicht den Eindruck, dass hier Convenience verwendet wird.

ein tolles kleines Kunstwerk in dem man Essen kann - man fühlt sich wie bei Freunden und wird auch so behandelt. Kleine Karte, alles frisch und mit Liebe - grosse Portionen. Toller Wein und vernünftige Preise für die Leistung. Hier macht ein Abend wirklich Spass !! Rerservierung ist ein MUSS - es gibt nur 4 Tische !Kleiner Hinweis/Tip von mir: Lasst das Produkt sprechen und stellt es in den Vordergrund: Einen Dorsch Loin von guter Qualität wird durch die Vielzahl von Aromen ( Schinken, Thymian, Rosmarin, Meerrettich ) + das Sauerkraut etc einfach etwas überladen. Es war lecker, aber hier wäre weniger dann mehr !Eine klare Empfehlung für einen Zingst Urlaub - um Klassen besser, wie vieles Andere !Man fühlt sich hier einfach wohl !

We had a great time at Kranichhaus. Very friendly service, good food, very moderate pricing - concidering the quality and the location right at the harbor front with a great view. It was not immediately obvious to us, that the ponton place down the terrace was part of the restaurant but it is. Definitly try to secure one of the tables down there.

Over the period of a few years, whenever I visit Zingst with friends we eat at the Zingster Stuben.The Menu seldom changes but it is consistently well sourced ingredients used to make the dishes.I ate Zander filet with creamed spinach and German fried potatoes( Bratkattofeln). It was delicious. My friends ate Dorschfilet and Matjes. All were pleased.There is a limited wine list and beer from the tap. I can recommend this restaurant when in Zingst.

Ich empfinde das Lokal als überwertet. Service freundlich und schönes Ambiente. Kleine Karte mit eigentlich schönen Gerichten. Vorspeise Rindercarpaccio: Sicher nicht selbst geschnitten ( alle Scheiben kreisrund und gleich gross - fertig gekauft ! ) Extrem dünn und eine kleine Portion. Geschmacklich neutral. Hauptspeise: Rosa gebratene Ente: Leider nicht rosa, sonder komplett durch - teils hart. Der Rosenkohl als Beilage war gut - eine Art Kloà in Scheiben geschnitten und gebraten, war ok aber ohne Sauce schmeckt das eher neutral. Fisch: Geschmacklich ok, aber drüber ( nicht mehr glasig, eher trocken ). Handwerklich noch Luft nach oben, vor allem bei den Preisen.

My wife, brother, and sister-in-law were visiting nearby Barth at the site of Stalag Luft One where my father was a POW for nine months during WWII. We decided to go to Zingst for dinner and were looking for a good seafood restaurant and checked Trip Advisor which we always do when out of town. We stopped at Skipper which had good reviews and both inside and outside seating. We got there about 6:30 and went inside and saw the greeter and told her we had a party of 4. She just said "NO!" in a very rude voice. She did not offer any other explanation or when seats would become available. There were available tables we could see both inside and outside the restaurant. We were all shocked by her bluntness. We were not sure if the treatment we received was because we were speaking english rather than german. In any event it left a bad taste in our mouths and we went back to Barth where we did enjoy a very nice seafood dinner. I have writeen over 130 reviews on TripAdvisor and have rarely given a bad review of a restaurant, and certainly never given a review with only 1/5 but this restaurant is certainly deserving of this rating.

On this great week of August, it is not easy to find a good terrasse with a good food.The waitress gave us quickly a good table in the edge of the pedestrian street.Even if our German is quite limited, she understood quickly what we liked and we can confirm that it was tasteful.We saw that the place was well rated in TA, and can confirm the quality. Of course, we always dream about originale cuisine to get away from the local standards, but this is asking a lot for the area,Enjoy the friendly atmosphère under a great blue sky!F.

Food was ok, service was a little slow. I had the seafood soup, tasted very much like tomato soup with some seafood thrown in. Kids had the schnitzel and burger and they were much better. We should have made reservations, apparently no seats inside, so we sat outside. We waited 20min for the menus because there were no menus left. Then it started to rain and was offered seats inside, and there were lots of free tables. But overall ok.
