Went specifically here for Lunch and the view. Lovely location. Great drive up to a spacious carpark then a gentle stroll to the restaurant. In side was very inviting, nice warm clean fresh and tastefully set out. The food was great, bit on the high side but good. Very nice attentive staff. Worth a visit.

Tried to get a seat here on a Saturday and it was packed out, which made me think that the food would be special. In fact it must be that Saturday is the night when all the locals eat. Went again on a Monday and it was still reasonably busy. However the food though not a let down totally was nothing special. Appetising and very good value but lacking in Italian flair and if one were to be honest just a little bit German. The pasta sauce tasted a little bit sweet and lacked seasoning to my taste. But it did the job even if it was not a dining experience. Very swift service and pleasant friendly co-owners.

Ware heute Abend hie essen. Pommes Rot/Weià mit Wiener Schnitzel und ein Rumpsteak mit Bratkartoffeln. Alles ordentlich und frisch zubereitet. Die Erwartungen wurden efüllt.

Durch Zufall haben wir auf der Durchreise dieses Kleinod entdeckt und sind total begeistert. Die Küche bietet kreative Ideen aus saisonalen und regionalen Produkten. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam, die Preise angemessen, die Portionen üppig. Dieses Restaurant, das im Sommer auch Plätze unter freiem Himmel anbietet, ist mehr als eine Empfehlung wert. Wir kommen unbedingt wieder!

Am Gleis is located on the other side of the railway tracks of the Bad Driburg railway station. The little restaurant/café is opened 6 days a week, but on Sunday between 11.00 am and 6.00 pm their neighbors Modelbundesbahn have opening hours. Rush hour! We took some drinks and four waffles. It took quite a long time before we were served. The cappuccino was quite poor. A low quality coffee machine didn't brew the coffee you wish. Two friendly women were serving us but in the kitchen a lot of improvisation. Not much equipment. Just one waffle iron. This all sounds quite negative, but the total atmosphere is OK, due to the friendly personnel and the nice location.

The kitchen was still open at 9pm and we had a fantastic dinner. The service from the owners was great and the food was of great quality. Very good value for money! They had a seasonal asparagus menu, roulades and venison, which comes from the shooting group meeting at the restaurant.

De eerste keer dat wij kwamen hadden we niet gereserveerd maar door de hartelijke ontvangst door de ober voelden we ons meteen welkom in dit sfeervolle restaurant. Natuurlijk was er een tafel voor ons. De drankjes en een mandje vers brood met smeersels stonden ook al snel op tafel. Op de kaart stonden mooie streek- en seizoengebonden gerechten. O.a. heerlijke verse forel, die zeer fraai werd opgediend. Ook de tweede keer dat wij kwamen hebben we zeer goed gegeten. Jammer dat we niet in de buurt wonen anders zouden we vaak terugkomen!
