Ended up in Baltinglass during midday and decided to pop in to Horans for a quick bite to eat. Decided on the seafood chowder and brown bread - just enough to re-energize us for more driving. The chowder was excellent, the service friendly. Locals were coming and going and obviously enjoying the friendly environs as much as we did.

On a drive from Dublin to Limerick we became hungry so a quick google search popped up with this âgastropubâ! On arrival we felt slightly out of place in our travelling clothes but despite there being no table in the restaurant we were ushered through to the bar and settled ourselves in the window. After being given both the Sunday lunch and bar menu we opted for the bar menu, one burger, ham and black pudding croquettes and a charcuterie board later and we were both extremely happy. The chips were excellent as was the rest of the meal. Will hopefully return again on another trip with a reservation for the main restaurant, this place well deserves its mention in the Michelin guide

Had a family dinner there, first time in Lucan. The interiors were very impressive inside, so we thought the food was going to be even better. However, we were slightly disappointed with just an average taste. Could be better but could be worse. I'd give it 6/10. Great service though!

Went into Treacyâs for breakfast last Sunday it was busy as usual but we didnât have to wait too long to be seated when we were seated it took them 30 seconds to get the menus quick service and a very pleasant waitress our kids ordered 2 rashers and 2 sausages and a ham sandwich and my wife ordered a scone and I ordered a full Irish it was at least a 45 minute wait for the breakfast. The scone was a bit dry and the ham sandwich came out toasted to the waitress was very apologetic about it though. When we went up to pay it was a bit pricey â¬2 for a small glass of apple juice not very good value although I had a nice experience and prefer it to CaToCa Emo.

Service is great, buzzing atmosphere and food is top notch. The wings are always part of my order as they are the best wings in the country. I love that dry rub. Full of flavour. Stopped for lunch here. Nice staff and relaxed atmosphere. The food? My wife had a goat cheese sallad that she liked but my chicken burger was not great. Chicken, lots of sauce and that was it. The fries were not chrispy and spent to much time waiting to come to our table. Not worth the money. Sorry but I would look somewhere else...
