Well - they donât seem to have retired yet! Had cod and chips, and then chips on their own for the vegetarian husband. The Northern owners were nice and friendly. My fish was lovely with great batter, chips were okay - I nearly always say that. Putting fish and chips in boxes is always a good idea, I think, because wrapped in greaseproof they suffered a bit even on the 1.5 mile drive home. Check the website, because the opening hours are variable and a bit random. Free car park opposite.

We ordered 7 items and they were equally nice - I had roast duck in pineapple, which was delicious. I also ordered beansprouts which was a generous portion (a tub-full). We also had prawn crackers which came with sweet and sour sauce, and spring rolls were good. We went into the take-away to order and the staff were friendly, and despite being a busy evening our food was ready in good time.

Having spent my youth in Bradford, I have always struggled to find F&Cs of comparable quality. My search is over. The fish was stunning and the chips delicious.Cooking in beef dripping makes all the difference, even my vegetarian fish eating wife commented on how nice they were !Holidaying in Austria soon - must make a mental note to taste theirs :-)

Myself and my non-vegan boyfriend really enjoyed some tofush and chips and vegan ice cream here on a hot bank holiday weekend. Both were delicious and the two ladies prepared them very quickly. Really friendly service and great wholesome homemade food. Will definitely be back in the summer!!What a glorious bank holiday weekend it was!
