Food-wise, this is probably the best place in Polotsk. There is nothing exquisite on the menu. However, the food is of home-made quality. The staff are friendly and cheerful. They give out recommendations in what concerns food and drinks. The decoration of the place is simple but cosy. What really "spoils" the general impression is a TV with live sports events. This makes the audience extremely versatile - driven by different motives of coming there. Therefore, the public there are not at times very nice - they shout or are rude. We once saw a drunk man who came in and ordered coffee. He was served. Moreover, he was constantly interfering with the other customers provoking unnecessary debating. This is repulsive. At least the staff should have refused him to be served and asked him to get out in a nice way. The cafe's management should have a special policy for taking care of customers, which is not the case. I would also recomment the cafe to put the TV away or make a special hall for those who come, order beer and watch sports matches. Otherwise, it is too loud, dodgy, and unfair to the eating customers.

When we came to the restaurant for launch there were no guests at all, so we got pretty good and fast service, besides a coatroom that was not open to leave jackets in Winter and for who knows what reason we got a bill right after ordering drinks, though we did not ask for it. In general, it is an average restaurant.

We went for a family meal without knowing what to expect. Upon arrival greeted by a nice waitress who was great throughout our stay. The food....was simply stunning. I loved the Draniki made here so much that I ordered a second portion. Their meat dishes is also very very nice. They have a great back garden where they servce BBQ (Shashlyk) when the weather is nice, sadly this summer is pretty bad and wet. Overall very good restaurant with good value for money that I will try and visit again when I am back early next year.

Damian

Sometimes you just need to eat for life, but not for enjoyment. In this case Damian is for you. Meals are simple, but highly caloric. There are about 10 salads in menu and all of them are with mayonnaise. What else do you need for energy? Unfortunately, it is true almost everywhere in Belarus. Nevertheless, you can try here solyanka and draniki, which are traditional and very good here. Since it is difficult to find any place to eat out in this region, Damian is not bad choice just to eat for life energy.
