Saint Sophia Cathedral

This church was rebuilt after a gunpowder explosion in the 18th century. Unfortunately the interior is disappointing although the excavations somewhat compensate the loss of historical value. The sight is very nice on the river Dvina.

Belarusian Museum of Typography

Reviewed By Nejdanka - St. Petersburg, Russia

Interesting to visit and there is information available in English. The Cathedral is of great historical importance to Belorussians and has a long rich history. The location is stunning and has the backdrop of the river Dvina for some lovely photos if the weather allows it. There is a shop that sells English book on Polotsk which fyi is the oldest city in Belarus.
